2. Rank the six economic goals from most important to least important. Write a one- or two-sentence justification for each ranking.

Economic Systems

• Use the chart provided by Mrs. Pugh.• Create a simple symbol to represent each type

of economic system. Then record key features of that system and which economic goals it emphasizes.

Connecting the Reading

• Use the handout provided (Student Handout 3C)

• After reading Section 3.3, fill in the missing information for the type of economy your group represented in the activity (command or market).

• As the class reviews the answers, record information for the other type of economy.
