EcoRaider® and Temprid® SC (Bayer) were chosen to
treat side by side
Conclusion: EcoRaider’s field control result is similar to that of Temprid SC over the 12 weeks treatment period.

Resistance Control
Resistant is common is repeatedly treated area
Control resistant population effectively
High kill on both susceptible & resistant
The top conventional pesticides (dual-action) not effective on the resistant strain
EcoRaider shows significantly higher mortality than conventional on resistant population

"We use EcoRaider as part of our heat treatment services for bed bugs. We spray EcoRaider before applying heat to immediately knock down the bed bug populations and then apply our heat treatment. We reapply EcoRaider, if needed, after the heat treatment. EcoRaider has helped us increase our percent control and reduce our bed bug callbacks".

Life Cycle
Eggs hatch within two weeks
Nymphs grow to full adulthood in 21 days
Go through five stages of development before they reach maturity.
Adult can survive 6-9 months without feeding.

Bed Bug Feeding
Require 5-10 minutes to engorge with blood
Insert two hollow, beak-like feeding tubes into their host. The first tube injects the bug's saliva, which
contains anesthetics to numb the feeding area.
The second tube draws blood.
After feeding, they move to secluded places and hide for 5-10 days. digest their meal, mate and lay eggs.

Bed Bug Feeding
Attracted to the carbon dioxide emitted by their hosts.
Tend to feed at night on bare skin that is exposed while sleeping.
But are opportunistic insects and will consume a blood meal during the day, especially in heavily-infested areas.
Prefer to feed on humans, but will feed on other warm-blooded hosts (pets).
An adult bed bug can live for several months without a blood meal.

Bed Bug Reproduction
A female bed bug will produce between 1- 7 eggs per day for about 10 days after a single blood meal.
She will then have to feed again to produce more eggs.
A female can produce between 5 and 20 eggs from a single blood meal.
They typically lay their eggs in cracks or rough surfaces.
A single female can produce about 113 eggs in her whole life.
Eggs can be laid singly or in groups. A wandering female can lay an egg anywhere in a room. Photo:CORNELL.EDU

Bed Bug Reproduction
Under optimal conditions, bed bug egg survival rate is 97%
At room temperature (>70°F), 60 % of the eggs will hatch when they are 6 days old; >90 percent will have hatched by the time they are 9 days old.
At lower ambient temperature ( 50°F), egg hatch time can be increased by several days
Under optimal conditions (temperatures 70° ̶ 90°F and in the presence of a host), a bed bug population can DOUBLE IN EVERY 16 DAYS!!
