The ECU brewing short course covers all aspects of the brewing process from malting to finished product and includes practical problem-solving sessions for common brewing faults.

All course materials are provided

along with lunch and refreshments.

Lectures and practical exercises

will be presented by ECU brewing

science lecturer and IBD accredited

trainer, Hugh Dunn.

Who should attendThe course will benefit anybody already working in the malting and brewing industry wishing to update their skills, those preparing for the Institute ofBrewing and Distilling General Certificate exams or those considering entering the brewing industry.

The course delves into the science of malting and brewing processes so a reasonable understanding of scientific principles at higher secondary level would be an advantage. Participants will be expected to have a working knowledge of the brewing process.

Training materials have been written and produced by Tim O’Rourke, international brewing educator and IBD accredited trainer.

Course numbers are limited so register early to secure your place in the course. A place is not guaranteed until payment has been received and course confirmation has been sent by Edith Cowan University.
