IntroductionFor train detection and signaling purposes continuous welded track must be
divided into sections. Insulated bonded rail joints are the solution to accom-
modate electrically separated track circuits. The rail is cut into two sections,
than separated by a high strength and wear resistant insulating end post and
structurally bonded again with an insulated rail joint system.
