Either public or private sectors that own any vertical unit or branches spread all over the world in their operations are supported by an information system or varied data communication network infrastructure. In general, information system applied is distributed or centralized when processing a data transaction associated with either the main business or its supporting business. However, there are also (though slightly) any agencies that apply hybrid system commonly known as the centralization or information and distribution process.
The option to apply information system (centralization, distribution, and hybrid) really depends on the type of service provided to stakeholder and promised service level agreement. The consequence of applying distributed system is, when requiring a report or integrated monitoring; there must be a consolidation process for the whole transaction data saved in local database of the branch. Aside from this, for the whole area coverage service, it requires a distribution process of the master data and its reference to the database of each service branch in order to fulfill the wide service coverage.
Data and information owned by the branch come from the different processing and have various data sources that includes many database types such as Oracle Database, SQLserver, MySQL, MS-Access, and Foxpro (dbf), or flat files (CSV and TXT) and spreadsheet file (MS-Excel). There may also be a requirement to transfer file system in a big scale. To anticipate such thing and form the data center, it needs consolidation mechanism and data integration.

There are more corporations that exchange a big number of data files, including structures and unstructured ones such as multimedia media, report or transaction data, using USB disk/CD/DVD, because email may limit file size; and using FTP is less secured and not guaranteed. With exclusive network encapsulation function, EDISE allows the data to be securely transferred. EDISE server doesn’t have to change the network access protocol standard, but only requires the outgoing connection from the branch.
EDISE supports the data transfer both in real time and parallel, so it accelerates the data transfer process.
EDISE supports the resume process, therefore the remaining data (based on the checkpoint) will be transferred without repeating from the beginning, if the data transferring process is disabled.
The data transfer process is flexibly manageable.
EDISE is designed to do the data transfer in unstable network by using the compression, parallel processing, and data buffering method.
EDISE supports the centralized data management, so the data transfer from one point to another point can be done at Head Office without intervention to the data source.
EDISE enables any data source exchange, such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Firebird, Microsoft Excel, PostgresSQL, File Transfer (synchronization, copying, and moving), IBM DB2, Sybase, Microsoft Access, CSV, MySQL, and other databases that support JDBC.

MAIN COMPONENTS OF EDISE
EXTRACT The process of reading the data from any sources by applying parsing technique with compatible data scales fits the parameter of input and is recorded in memories with certain formatting.
The process of turning the output of extract process into a format already decided and recorded in storages to be a temporary data.
Compress is the process of solidifying the temporary data to be more efficient data in storage and shortening the time of data transfer.
Encrypt is the process of securing the output of compress process so the output is unreadable for any unauthorized parties. EDISE uses the encryption RSA 1024-4096, meaning the agent doing the encryption using public-key from the server in data center.
Send is the process of sending the output of selected encryption by maximizing available network, enabling the suspension process when network is disconnected, and resuming when network is reconnected.
Receive is the process of receiving the output data of the sending process, either normally, suspended, or resumed. Send and receive is a set of application modulation that intensely communicate related to the data transfer process.
Decrypt is the inverse of the encrypt process. Here the encrypt process uses public-key from server in data center.
Decompress is the process of rearranging the output of the compress process.
Load is the process of storing the data in Batch.
