PROFESSOR’s Take
Ms. Arpita A. Atibudhi
(Alumnus & Faculty)
Nine years ago, just after my S.S.C., my first
day in Tolani College of Commerce was my
first realization of being in the correct
institution as my fear of getting ragged turned
out to be baseless due to strict rules prevailing
in the College. Then began my journey of
learning. I have seen a sea change in my
personality after seven years as a student and
two years as a faculty. There was always
encouragement in the form of professor’s
advice, guidance, awards and scholarships
from the College. Getting called upon stage
and being felicitated for academic performance
acted as a motivation that I really appreciate.
I still remember the day when my teachers
encouraged me to participate in ‘Budding
Teachers Competition’ wherein a student
had to present a topic in a class. I always
wished to be a teacher but never discussed
this with my professors. They identified my
passion and potential and always guided me
accordingly. I can’t thank them enough for
their continuous support as it helped me in
realizing my dream of being a University
topper. I consider myself blessed as I have
inculcated some of the best qualities and
values of my professors which have helped
me in becoming a successful teacher.
The USP of Tolani College of Commerce
was, is and will always be the quality of
teaching
Which I, as an alumnus, can surely boast
of. Supportive management, dedicated
faculty members and hardworking
administrative staff are flag bearers of
integrity, sincerity and discipline. Together
they create an environment which works as
a fertile ground for nurturing young minds.
The College believes in “One for all and all
for one”. Here I learned the importance of
being regular and punctual. I also realized
the importance of being creative in all my
pursuits. No wonder I have continued my
association with the College after clearing
SET. Really proud to be a Tolanian!
