Looking at your data folders respond to the following:

1. What is going on? Describe what you see from the data.

2. What makes ME think this? Describe your theory.

The Five Why Protocol

Review the data collected in your folder and respond to the following:

As you review your data decide what type of data you have-achievement data, perceptual data, process data. Label your data.

Decide if this data is person specific, out of your sphere of influence, practice specific, system specific.

What overall statement can you make about the data in this folder?

Ask “Why?” five times and write your response to each question.

What conclusion can you draw from your responses to the 5 why questions?

Write a conclusion statement.

You will each have 10 minutes to present.

Present an overall assessment of the Study School’s performance in the given area (each of your folders)

Include what you see as strengths in the area.

Briefly describe what you see as needs in the area.

Highlight which of the 5 areas or combination you presently see as a focus for your final project and give you rationale.

Share a SMART goal draft that directly impacts achievement.

Your presentation should take no more than 10-15 minutes.

Homework

Complete the 5 Whys for your remaining folder including answers for each question and a final conclusion.

Submit the whys to the Dropbox in Worldclass.

Prepare a final presentation as an overall assessment of the data, a draft for a SMART goal on achievement and share your rationale for the direction you will take with your staff as their principal.
