Wellington International Education Directory
It all starts here, in the heart of New zealand!
3
Wellington, New Zealand is an excellent place to get an education. We boast two world ranked universities, three leading institutes of technologies and polytechnics, English language schools, private training establishments and dozens of schools – all with individual character, all united by the quality of education they provide.
Every year, students from across the world choose to study here. They come here because our education institutions provide internationally recognised and transferable qualifi cations and the opportunity to get a relevant and future-focused education.
Students in Wellington can choose to study from a huge range of world class programmes, from biotechnology to biomedical and life sciences, trade training to teacher training, digital and creative technologies to architecture and design, English language to engineering and environmental sciences, hospitality to health.
In Wellington we look after students. The Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students is a quality assurance document administered by the New Zealand Ministry of Education. Wellington institutions take this seriously.
Long before they step off the plane, our education providers are there helping students with learning assistance, affordable accommodation and ongoing care and support.
Students come to Wellington because of the quality schools and world class programmes. They come here because of the lifestyle; they want to live somewhere where they can see the stars at night, rely on good public transport, where they can live in a cosmopolitan Capital city - or its coastal and rural towns - and still get great coffee. They want to be able to sample food from all around the world and experience the landscapes that inspired Lord of the Rings and King Kong.
Wellington celebrates the diversity that international students bring to our region; we look forward to welcoming them here.
I hope that you fi nd this directory of education providers in the Wellington region useful. For further information you can go directly to the institutions, or alternatively contact Education Wellington.
