INCORPORATION OF ONLINE TRAINING TO A CONVENTIONAL HEALTH TEACHING FOR RESIDENTS

IntroductionLa Ribera Universitary Hospital (HLR) is an accreditedteaching hospital MIR / FIR since May 2004 incorporated thefirst residents. There are 13 accredited specialties. For twoyears is to combine training with this group face to face andelearning, with the aim of improving learning through theuse of collaborative tools. Training should be integratedfrom the entrance of the residents in the organizationthrough the collaboration of the directions of HumanResources and Research and Teaching in setting a courseonline host two months.

Material and MethodsThe sample comprised a total of 17 students who didfound the course "Introduction to the activity of care" forresidents between May and June 2010. To assess the useof the platform were recorded: the number of courseviews, the number of visits to resources and the numberof shares held in the forums. To determine the degree ofsatisfaction with the training participants were consultedabout: Objectives and contents, Methodology, Teacherrating, Organization and Integration practice, andassessments allowed between 0 and 5 points.

ConclusionsThe virtual host course for residents has enabled us to obtain optimal solutions in conformitywith the initial goals, highlighting the following:•The results of the impact of the intervention have led to reorient, analyzing reports and logsdisplayed by the observation site of the Moodle virtual platform•There has been an important use of the contents of this methodology course taught from theevaluation of group discussions•Questionnaires and interviews tasks have demonstrated a high willingness to perform this typeof methodology•Young adults have basic computer skills, which facilitates the educational use of socialnetworking•Online learning adds value to formal training and education offers great opportunities as anefficient way of delivering course materials, the more independent and active learning, accessiblefrom anywhere at any time•It was stressed that the course has been productive and has enabled them to get to knowprofessionals in the organization and fellow residents

ResultsIn analyzing student satisfactionwith the activity, the highvaluation of teachers (average of4,25 points on 5), followed by theassessment of the methodology(3.89), objectives and content(3.88); practice inserting (3.73)and organization (3.63). Access toforums and resources of thevirtual campus is shown at Figure.
