Welcome to an exciting year in building 1, room 40! My name is Kelly Runyon. I have taught at EDUPRIZE for 17 wonderful years! I really enjoy my home with the EDUPRIZE family. I am thrilled about the upcoming school year! We will have many challenging and fun-filled learning adventures ahead of us. Together we will create a respectful and caring school family that will provide a dynamic year of learning. As your teacher, I will try to make it your very best! Please come to our digital Open House on Monday, July 20 th . You will be receiving more information about Hybrid Distance Learning at that time. Please also visit our website in order to complete and submit the Open House Forms. Please keep checking the website eduprizeschools.net for any changes that may occur. We have a stimulating year ahead of us! Together we will enjoy the following cottages: American Boutique, Bug Farm, Weather Station, and Dinosaur Dig. We will also read lots of interesting books, explore the world of math, and write all kinds of stories. I am looking forward to starting our year of learning together. This is a 2 nd grade Hybrid Distance Learning class, so school starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday (with office hours to meet individual needs from 1:00-3:00). Fridays we will observe a shortened schedule of 8:00-11:30. The first day of school is Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020. All students must be on time and attend our online meeting to be considered enrolled at EDUPRIZE. Please see the next page for a supply list that your child will need to fully participate in our Hybrid Distance Learning. Parents, thank you for entrusting me with the care of your child. The following is a list of supplies your child will need for the upcoming school year. At times I ask for a certain brand name, as I have learned some brands just don’t

work as well as others. Thank you!

Please label all supplies at home for your child. Unless I have specified NO name needed

MUST HAVES:

iPad2 Compatible over the ear headphones

(please write your child’s first & last name on headphones)

(1) pencil box – label with your child’s name (2) packages of large gum erasers (pink) - put in pencil box

(1) 3-ring binder (1 inch) with pockets and plastic view front and back – on a piece of paper write

your child’s name and slide it in the front (remove any stickers…please )

(1) ream of white copy paper (extra reams greatly appreciated) - NO name needed

(1) box of Crayola crayons (24 count) – put in pencil box

(1) box of sharpened pencils (extra pencils greatly appreciated) - NO name needed

(1) 4-pack of skinny Expo Dry Erase Markers (packaging removed) - put in pencil box

(1) package of white glue sticks (more is always welcomed) - NO name needed

(1) disinfectant wipes - NO name needed

(4) plastic, pocket folders with fasteners (one of each color) green, blue, red and yellow plain-no

designs - write name on the inside front left pocket – ONLY – not on front cover please

(1) scissors - put in pencil box

(1) box of Crayola markers (skinny) - put in pencil box

(1) box of Crayola colored pencils - put in pencil box

(1) roll of paper towels – NO name needed
