($35,000) for the whole state.

• Software is free to local law

enforcement. They just need an

MDC and printer in their squads.

• No fees are charged to recipients of

the citation data from the web

service.

Specific Benefits to DOT

• TraCS has allowed DOT to achieve significant

savings in both staff time and keying costs

since 2005. They are saving over $70,000

keying costs annually, as citations are reported

electronically to the DOT.

• Expanded use of TraCS and electronic data

exchange has allowed Wisconsin to comply with

49 CFR 384.209 which requires states to post

convictions on the record of a commercial

driver within ten days of adjudication.
