1 CONTEXT OF THE EVENT: Each year, the EENA Conference brings together European emergency services, public authorities, researchers and industry representatives to foster the sharing of best practice between all the relevant stakeholders. High-level issues will be discussed during the plenary sessions while operations and technical issues will be addressed during the parallel tracks, over 3 inspiring days. The 112 Awards Ceremony, which is run in conjunction with the conference, recognises and rewards some of the emergency services and citizens for their outstanding achievements in improving and promoting the European emergency number 112. The EENA Conference will welcome participants representing emergency services and public authorities from all over Europe and also from other parts of the world such as Africa, Asia, the Middle-East and from both North and South America. The expected 350 participants will also include many supplier organisations, researchers and telecom regulators. Meet top international experts in the emergency services field Over 60 leading experts and practitioners will address high-level policy and regulatory matters as well as operational and technical issues during the plenary and parallel tracks

Network and partner with key European stakeholders In 2014, at least 350 participants, including about 200 emergency services and public authorities' representatives from more than 35 countries, researchers, telecom regulators and suppliers will attend. They will be able to interact before, during and after the event via a dedicated app as well.

ABOUT EENA EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, is a Brussels-based NGO set up in 1999 dedicated to promoting high-

quality emergency services reached by the number 112 throughout the EU. EENA serves as a discussion platform for

emergency services, public authorities, decision makers, researchers, associations and solution providers with a view to

improving the emergency response in accordance with citizens' requirements. EENA is also promoting the establishment of an

efficient system for alerting citizens about imminent or developing emergencies. The EENA memberships include 950

emergency services representatives from 44 European countries, 65 solution providers, 9 international

associations/organisations, 150 Members of the European Parliament and 50 researchers.

It is the tallest building in Poland and the sixth tallest building in the European Union. Non-emergency numbers: do they help? (1 hr) Some Member States have developed a non-emergency number facility to provide assistance and support to their citizens in non-emergency situations. In this session, you will hear examples of such developments and how the challenges with these systems have been overcome.

The necessity to have meaningful, timely, accurate and reliable caller location information made available to the emergency services has been well documented. In this session, you will hear updates from two institutions who have active working groups engaged in the topic. The presentations will be made by ETSI who are working on a standard towards IP caller location and CEPT who are working on mobile caller location targets. EENA will also present the results of its survey on caller-location and an update on the regulatory developments.
