Bridge between process and information driven systems, enables our clients to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their business’ core processes by fostering ongoing collaboration between IT and business users.

Process Management is the cornerstone of a BPM Program, and an approach used by managers and workgroups to ensure that the out-puts of their work efforts are:

Predictable (stable) Achieve customer requirements (capable) Aligned and optimized to deliver correct results / value to cus-

tomer (effective) Are performed quickly, and at or less than expected cost

(efficient) Capable of quickly adapting to meet market and customer de-

mands (flexible)

Our approach towards designing, developing and implementing a BPMS solution will provide capabilities in:

Workflow Automation – which has been focused on auto-mating human-centric processes, and achieved throughout the implementation of an application rapid developing platform

Enterprise Application Integration – which is focused on the exchange of information between heterogeneous systems, and important to integrate communications between different activities within a process, or sub-processes within processes

Business Process Analysis – which is focused on gaining a detailed understanding of business processes in order to iden-tify non valued added activities, and opportunities to consolidate or eliminate highly repetitive tasks

Expected Deliverables of a

Project Management

Engagement

At Enterprise Excellence Systems, we know that establishing a pro-

ject management program in an organization can present significant

challenges. There is no such thing as a universal solution, therefore

any implementation needs to be tailored to the organization’s project

types, resources capabilities and organizational culture.

Experience has taught us to use a phased approach towards project

management’s tools implementation. The phased approach helps to

overcome resistance to change, and allows for the incorporation of

lessons learned in early implementation phases.

We identify these phases as:

1. Program Induction Phase - our consultants use pilot projects to

build process momentum, overcome natural resistance to change,

and gain first-hand knowledge of the organization.

2. Program Launch - This phase utilizes information gathered from

pilot projects to roll-out structured project planning and control

processes for all remaining projects.

3. Enterprise Deployment - During this phase, tools are implemented

that are focused on managing the organization’s entire portfolio

of programs and projects.

4. Maintenance Phase - This final phase marks the transition of the

whole program from the our project management project consult-

ants back to the organization.

Successful completion of this approach creates long-term continuity

by implementing the necessary policies and incentives to permanently

inculcate the project management’s vision into the culture of the or-

ganization.

“Recognition of the strategic importance of project manage-ment in the corporate world is rapidly accelerating. One rea-son may be a strong belief by business leaders that aligning project management with strategy can significantly enhance the achievement of organizational goals” Sabin Srivannaboon

Analyzing strategy versus market conditions and determine if cur-rent efforts are directing the or-ganization towards achieving the unique position needed for suc-cessfully differentiate from com-petitors.

Review organizational results ver-sus strategic goals and recom-mend any countermeasure need-ed to close any gap found.

Review organizational structure and determine if it covers all pro-cesses efficiently and with efficacy or if it needs to be de-layered down to reduce waste.

Review organizational competen-cies and develop a Learning Plan to cover gaps.

Design, develop and implement an Enterprise Excellence Model that will satisfy the client’s indi-vidual and unique needs.

Implement a performance evalua-tion system in order to assure op-erational alignment with strategic goals.

A Typical Strategy

Engagement Includes

STRATEGY PLANNING / IMPLEMENTATION - As pointed out by D. Porter and R. Kaplan in their book The Execution Premium, “companies generally fail at implementing a strategy or managing operations because they lack an overarching management system to integrate and align these two vital processes”.

Throughout the last decade, various surveys indicates that almost 60 to 80% of the companies fall short of the targets expressed in their strategic plans.

Our experience point out that the most common business challenge is the execution of the plan rather than the strategy itself. Our company adds value to other organizations that needs to evaluate, design and implement a system geared towards aligning the per-formance of their operating and support units with the corporate’s strategic goals. Our basic approach towards effective strategic planning and implementation is based upon the following diagram:

“You can have the best processes in the world, but if your governance processes don’t provide the direction and course correction required to achieve your goals, success is a matter of luck” unanimous

This approach assures a sustainable competitive advantage by:

Achieving a unique competitive position based on a difference the organization can preserve

Align activities to strategy Clear tradeoffs and choices vis a vis with competitors Sustainability comes from the implementation system, not the

individual parts Manage change through Centers of Excellence

Enterprise Excellence Systems

Perform high level critical process analysis to diagnose possible causes of resources waste and identify process improvement tools and methodologies to imple-ment.

Design Operational Excellence Model, obtain approval from management and design deploy-ment plan.

Identify competencies needed to assure model implementation success and compare against or-ganization’s resources. Develop and implement learning counter-measures. Prepare resources for model deployment.

Assist organization in model de-ployment. Serve as monitors to assure success.

Design, develop and implement Balance Score Card to assure im-plementation success and pro-gram sustainability.

Review organizational results and assure Process Excellence efforts are sustaining the organization’s strategic goals.

An Operational Excellence

Engagement Typically

Includes...

The pursue of business efficiency and efficacy has spawned an im-pressive amount of process improvement tools and techniques. Although these tools and techniques had provided spectacular re-sults, for most organizations, their real challenge is to sustain these results in the face of changing customer expectations, competitive threats, new technologies, government regulations and many other variables.

Organizations must continually evolve to meet these dynamics and avoid the pitfall of re-inventing the strategy instead of adjusting it. Process improvement professionals must device ways to support the organization in the most efficient and cost effective manner during time of change, specially when turning around a loosing business or when resources are very limited.

Developing a customer focus, both internally and externally, com-bined with fast and agile processes, and the organization’s perfor-mance aligned with strategic objectives is the goal of the excellence model illustrated bellow:

“Operational Excellence is not the engine for cost cutting. You should use it for cost efficiency, reve-nue generation and customer service. But it is very dangerously to focus myopically on cost cutting” Debashis Sarkar

General Steps to Engineer

Products / Processes

Product / Process Engineering requires a great attention to detail,

excellent written communication skills, analysis skills and the ability to

objectively meet the requirements of the customer’s product design.

It involves documenting current process, evaluating time and level of

effort, as well as analysis of efficiency, bottlenecks, and overall process

costs.

Our focus is to implement a phase based program towards product /

service design and development, design for manufacturability, types

of processes, process flow structures and value stream mapping.

We improve process reliability and quality by designing, developing

and implementing mechanical fixtures for work-aids and work station

equipment. These fixtures will also minimize operation’s dexterity re-

quirements. Work station reliability and capability will be assured by

the design, development and implementation of automated inspec-

tion devices and in-line process audits.

We will establish process baseline, create value stream map, transac-

tional flow audit, and develop improvements using a customized com-

bination of process improvement tools and methodologies.

Our engineering team will design, develop and implement product

technical package, process flow, job design, labor standards, facilities'

layout, key performance indicators as well as job instructions and op-

erational procedures.

On the process level, our team will develop job specialization and ex-

pansion, psychological components, self-directed teams, learning

curves, motivation and incentive systems including ergonomics and

work methods using time studies, work sampling, predetermine time

studies and other work measurement techniques.

General Steps to Establish

a Quality Management

Program

Quality Management ensures that an organization, product or service

is consistent. It has four main components: quality planning, quality

control, quality assurance and quality improvement.

Quality management is focused not only on product and service quali-

ty, but also the means to achieve it. Quality management therefore

uses quality assurance and control of processes as well as products to

achieve more consistent quality. Customers recognize that quality is

an important attribute in products and services. Suppliers recognize

that quality can be an important differentiator between their own

offerings and those of competitors (quality differentiation is also

called the quality gap).

At Enterprise Excellence Systems, we strongly believe that organiza-

tions should understand current, and predict future customer needs,

meet customer requirements and should exceed customers’ expecta-

tions. An organization attains customer focus when all people in the

organization know both the internal and external customers, and also

what customer requirements must be met to ensure their satisfaction.

The primary dimensions of product quality to control includes Perfor-

mance, Features , Reliability, Conformance, Durability, Serviceability,

Aesthetics and Perceived Quality.

Increasingly, however, service quality is attracting equal or more

attention; Responsiveness, Reliability, Accuracy, Knowledge of Employ-

ees, Courtesy, Consistency, Speed

Our consultants are experienced Industrial Engineers, Health Care Pro-

fessionals and Information Technology Specialist. Some are certified

ISO 9,000 Auditors and LSS Black Belts, with extensive experience de-

signing, developing and implementing Quality Management Programs

in the manufacturing and in the service fields, specially in the health

care field.

“The history of quality management, from mere 'inspection' to Total Quality Management, and its modern 'branded inter-pretations such as 'Six Sigma', has led to the development of essential processes, ideas, theories and tools that are central to organizational development, change management, and the performance improvements that are generally desired for in-dividuals, teams and organizations.” Melanie Allen

Why Partner With Us

Today, organizations live in a business climate that is accelerating, customers are impatient and a mar-

ket that is unforgiving. Gone are the days when organizations had the luxury of having a wide profit

margin that can absorb business inefficiencies, market driven changes, new product / service launches

as well as new regulatory and fiscal requirements.

These challenges drive changes at a speed that mechanized information systems and traditional silo-

oriented organizational structures are not capable to handle in an efficient manner. Under these condi-

tions, most organizations don’t have the time and the resources, nor the experience and knowledge to

foster the change needed to successfully overcome these challenges.

You need to choose wisely when it comes to seeking a partner that can facilitate the journey towards

helping you delineating your organization’s future, and actually taking you there in an efficient way.

We’ve been there, on your side of the business for more than 30 years. We’ve been through this jour-

ney several times; we have had some failures and learned from them, but we also had a fair amount of

successes that allowed us to prove our theories tools and methodologies.

We offer a unique blend of proven, hands-on experience in assisting various industries, from manufac-

turing to service, from producing consumer goods to healthcare and financial institutions; and combine

it with a passion to implement the latest innovation in technology and process improvement methodol-

ogies. It is this unique combination that give us a unique positioning in the consulting market, and allows

our customers and partners to achieve their goals more efficiently and assuming the less risk possible.
