According to the IMF definition "Globalization is integration of economies through the movement of goods, services, labor power, and capital across borders, together with broader cultural, political, and environmental dimensions"

Economic Impact of Globalizatin on Middle East

1. A drop in the exports of most countries in the middle east.

2. Middle Eastern countries are faced with 240 trade discriminatory measures implemented by countries across the world.

Economic impact continued.....3. Middle Eastern countries also face negative investment measures employed in the rest of the world.

4.Decrease in GDP/capita.

5.Rising unemployment.

2. The Caspian sea is under deterioration due to industrial waste,shiping and the oil industries in Iran and other parts of the middle east.

3.Global warming as a results of the carbon dioxide emission from the oil companies into the ozone layers.

Political effects of Globalization(positive)1.Politically,globalization in a way has reduced the rate of war in the middle east.

2. Globalization is enforcing democracy in the region.

3.Globalization ensures that politicians or government makes good policies.

Politcal effects (negative)1.Globalization has led to political instability in the middle east.

2. Globalization comes with benefits but with conditions and pressure on the recipient countries.

3.Globalization breeds corruption and injustices in the distribution of global wealth which leads to social disorder and violence.

Benefits of Globalization1.Globalization enables transfer of technology and knowledge across international border.

2. Globalization enables the ease of transfer of knowledge between middle east and the rest of the world.

3. The live broadcast of sport events is another way that people benefits from globalization.

4. Globalization takes jobs from the developed countries to some countries in the middle east.

5. Globalization helps in international claims like loans.

6.Globalization tends to increase international division of labor.

7.Globalization has increase foreign investment in the middle east. E.g UAE to allow 100% foreign-owned companies.

8.Globalization has led to an increase in the prices of oil for the middle east producers.
