Acoupleweeksago,wewroteinourquarterlyletterthatwebelievethatanarrowgroupofcoolkidstockshavedisconnectedfromtraditionalvaluationsandformedabubble.Thisgotalotofcriticism.Halfthecriticsthoughtweweretalkingourbook,eventhoughwedidntnamenames.Theotherhalfwereupsetthatwedidnttellthemwhichstockswewereshort.Sincewecantseemtopleaseanybody,Ivedecidedtovalidatebothcriticisms.Today,Imgoingtoillustratethebubblebasketdoingadeepdiveintooneofthecompanies,whilenotdisclosingtheothers.Thiscompanyisanexcellentcompanywithanexcellentproduct,runbyawellmeaningandhonest,thoughoccasionallypromotionalCEO.Theworldmaybeabetterplaceifitsucceeds,andeventhoughweareshort,Iaminnowayrootingforittofail.Itsmainproblemisthatitisntpositionedtosucceedthewaythebullshope,astheassumptionsthebullsaremakingarenotplausible.Thestockissimplyatthewrongprice.Itscaughtupinabubbleandcouldeasilyfall80%ormorefromitsrecentpeak.Letmeintroduceyoutoathenahealth.
