1. Theemployeeorvolunteerallegedtobetheperpetratoroftheabuseorneglectwillimmediatelyberemovedandplacedonleavependinganinvestigationandinstructedtoremainawayfromthepremisesduringtheinvestigation.Heorshewillbeinstructedtohavenocontactwiththevictimorwithwitnesses.

2. Allallegationsofabuseshouldbereportedtothepolice,ChildProtectiveServices(3200formcompletion),theparent/guardian,and,whenappropriate,schoolcounselors.ThePotter’sHousewillcomplywiththestate’srequirementsregardingmandatoryreportingofabuseasthelawthenexistsandwillfullycooperatewiththeinvestigationoftheincidentbypoliceauthorities.

3. Theinsurancecompanywillbenotified,andthePotter’sHousewillcompleteanincidentreport.Alldocumentsreceivedrelatingtotheincidentand/orallegationswillimmediatelybeforwardedtotheinsurancecompany.

4. ThePotter’sHouseSuperintendentwillserveasthespokespersontothemediaconcerningincidentsofabuseorneglect.Theadviceoflegalcounselwillbesoughtbeforerespondingtomediainquiriesorreleasinginformationaboutthesituationtotheschoolcommunity.Allotherrepresentativesoftheschoolshouldrefrainfromspeakingtothemedia.

5. IndividualsconvictedofcrimeslistedinSection2oftheSexOffenderRegistryAct,M.C.L.A.28.722,shallnotbeallowedtoworkintheschoolsorintheDistrict.

6. IndividualsconvictedofafelonynotlistedintheSexOffenderRegistryActmaynotcontinuetoworkatthePotter’sHouse,unlessoruntiltheyhavereceivedwrittenapprovalfromboththeSuperintendentandtheBoardofDirectors.Pendingsuchapproval,employeesshallbeplacedonadministrativeleave.

• Publishingafalsestatementaboutanotherthatisdamagingtotheirreputation.• Publiclydisclosingaprivatefactaboutanother.• Breakingintosomeone’saccount.• Purposelycausingsomeoneemotionaldistress.
