ABOUT EL PASO Situated at the western p of Texas and southernmost p of the Rocky Mountains, El Paso is a cultural hub with delectable food and a naturally hospitable community, where three states and two naons come together as one. With an abundance of atracons, nature, culture, and over 300 days of sunshine, El Paso is the perfect place to live. The city is seeing an influx of new hotels and atracons, and heavy investments in the downtown area mean new amenies and services for travelers and locals alike. With all these upgrades coming to the city, El Paso is on the forefront of desnaons for meengs, incenve trips, conferences, tournaments or events. The community is experiencing unprecedented growth, with a focus on the downtown area. Investments currently in operaon are adding to the excitement of an already booming downtown. Head over to Southwest University Park, home the El Paso Chihuahuas Triple-A baseball team and United Soccer League team, the El Paso Locomove FC. Or take a walk-through San Jacinto Plaza, located in the heart of downtown. There, besides splashing around, you can challenge your colleagues to a friendly game of chess or table tennis, or you can simply enjoy the public art honoring the park's unique history. El Paso's historic, restored $97 million downtown streetcar system connects many of the city's most popular atracons. Originally built in 1902 to replace the mule car system, the retrofited streetcars now travel a 4.8-mile route through the city's uptown and downtown areas. Two loops connect some of the city's most visited restaurants and sites, including the baseball stadium, Museum of Art, convenon center, hotels and the University of Texas at El Paso. EL PASO AS A MEETING AND CONVENTION DESTINATION The team at Visit El Paso knows a successful event isn't just about giving guests a comfortable place to meet, mingle, and recharge. It's also about showing them a grand me. With dozens of museums and atracons, including several new sites opening this year, El Paso will exceed your expectaons. Host a networking event at Topgolf, where guests can pracce their swing on the high-tech driving range or simply watch the fun from the swanky lounge. Or encourage them to let off some steam with a game of Splash Ball at the city's Westside Natatorium; a new Eastside Natatorium will open soon. Consider hosng a team-building acvity at iFLY, an indoor skydiving facility where you can experience the thrill of soaring in the sky. More excing addions coming to El Paso include the 42.2-acre Eastside Sports Complex, a state-of-the-art Children's Museum, the Mulpurpose Cultural and Performing Arts Arena, and the new Mexican American Cultural Center. The later will feature an auditorium, a theater, exhibion spaces, and several muluse classrooms.
