Un Baile Famoso:
Tango: medium of dance. Believed to be one of the most
amorous, was of expressing love. Origins are last in myth and unrecorded history. Tango could be African meaning closed space or reserved ground or Portuguese and was picked up on African slave ships. Reflects immigrants since of loss and longing for the people. Rudimentary dances like tango developed in African-Argentine dance venues. These were frequented by young men who liked to dress in slouch hats loosely tied neckerchiefs, thigh-heeled boots with knives tucked casually in their belts. They took the dance to the slaughter house district of Buenos Aires Corrales Viejos and introduced it in various low-life establishments where dancing took place. Here is where the African and Argentine cultures mixed. Afterwards new steps were invented and took hold as a new form of dance. It is unclear exactly when and where the various forms of dance and music combined. By the beginning of the 20th century, tango established firm foothold in Buenos Aires. World-wide spread of tango came in the early 1900’s. 1930’s golden age of Argentina. Fortunes tied to economic conditions.

Argentina has made a new design for it’s 50 peso bill.
This design has gone into ridicule The new note will go into circulation next month. The note’s design was unveiled last year by the president. This note was designed by the nation’s mint. It shows the map of the South Atlantic Territories and another map of Latin America and the Caribbean. This design was meant to show the support the nation has rallied during it’s dispute against London. On the other side is an image of Gaucho Antonio Rivero – a famous Argentinean rancher. The notes were swiftly ridiculed-even by the citizens! The cause of their ridicule was the government’s focus on new bank notes when inflation was really bad.
