I. PROJECT DETAILS

1. Location of project

* 220kV Tam Ky substation

220kV Tam Ky substation is expected to construct on the area of cashew

garden land belonging to Chien Dan Collective Farm, Tam Dan Commune, Tam Ky

Town, Quang Nam Province with topography as follows:

- The West is contiguous to the inter-commune road.

- The North, the South and the East is contiguous to cashew garden land of

Chien Dan Collective Farm

* 220kV transmission line

- Total length: 1,350m going through the land area for planting of cashew,

eucalyptus, some crops belonging to Chien Dan Collective Farm.

- Starting-point (incoming bay): connected within tower span 177-178 (40m

away from tower 177 to the side of tower 178) on Da Nang - Doc Soi 220kV

transmission line.

- Starting-point (outgoing bay): connected within tower span 177-178 (40m

away Erom tower 178 to the side of tower 177) on Da Nang - Doc Soi 220kV

transmission line.

- Ending-point: 220kV busbar of 220/11 OkV Tarn Ky substation

* 11OkV transmission line

- Total length: 1, 1 Om going through the land area for planting cashew, crops,

rice managed by Chien Dan Collective Farm.

- Starting-point: connected within tower span 352-353 (about 37m away from

tower 353) on Da Nang - Doc Soi I lOkV transmission line.

- Ending-point: I1 OkV busbar of 220kV Tam Ky substation

2. Main characteristics of the project

* 220kV Tam Ky substation

+ Rated voltage: the substation is designed with 3 voltage levels:

220/110/22kV.

22kVside: There are 15 indoor-installed feeders (24 kV distribution cubicles are

applied), whereas:

- The substation is constructed as per mode of semi-outdoor; 220kV & 11OkV

switchgear system and the control-protection system at feeder level are

outdoor-installed, control system at substation level and SCADA/EMS

system are installed indoor.

- Structure of beam - equipment suspension pier, 220kV gantry: by hot dip

galvanizing shape steel.

- Gantry foundation, equipment suspension pter foundation: by reinforced

concrete

- Gantry: by hot dip galvanizing shape steel.

- Road for truck within the substation: by non-r inforced concrete

- Road for truck outside of the substation: by n n-reinforced concrete

+ Total area for substation construction (incl iding the talus): 40,329.5m2

whereas:

- Construction area for substation and the acc ss road (including the talus):

cover): 59,691 m3

+ The access road to the substation: cast in plafe concrete, 100m length, 4m

width connecting from the existing inter-commune roads.

* 220kV branch transmission line connecting to the substation:

+ Voltage level: 220kV

+ Number of circuits: 02 circuits (for each incomi~ng/outgoing feeder)

+ Route length: 1,350m (the incoming feeder: 600m; outgoing feeder: 750m)

+ Conductor: aluminium steel reinforced conductor, code ACSR-500/64, with

grease layer for anti-erosion.

+ Ground-wire: two ground-wires TK-70 are used.

+ Insulators and accessories: glass insulators or equivalent are used. The electro-

mechanical load for suspension string is 7,000daN and tension string is 12,000daN.

The creepage length of suspension and tension insulated disc is 295mm.

+ Earthing: as per ray type, TD4x30 type is used.

+ Towers: hot dip galvanizing 2-circuit steel tower is used, connected by bolts

with different heights conforming with the topography the route goes through.

+Arms: arms with towers all-in one block are manifactured.

+ Foundation: each position consists of 4 pier foundations cast in place

+ ROW width: 21.2m

* 110kV branch transmission line connecting to the substation:

+ Voltage level : 110kV

+ Number of circuits : 02 circuits
