Gourmet-Line Beech-Wood Cutlery Trays with Forged Stainless Steel CutleryThe exceptional quality beech-wood cutlery trays come complete with a set of neatly arranged 18/10 stainless steel forged cutlery. In accordance with the highest of European standards, all of the utensils are anti-corrosion protected, perfectly balanced and highly durable. The beech-wood width compensator allows for an extra area of space suitable for serving spoons, bread knives or other utensils. The width compensator is also useful when combining cutlery tray bases to accommodate various drawer widths. As an example, for a 900mm drawer, two base units to suit 450mm width can be combined with a 100mm wide compensator.

Important Cleaning and Maintenance Information

Precautions are essential in avoiding irreparable damage to the articles. Colour samples are purely indicative. Since the materials are natural, their shades are expected to differ. It is important to remember that wood is an organic material, and therefore subject to changes. These changes may be due to environmental conditions and general usage. This does not mean that your product is deteriorating, but only that it is adapting to its environmental conditions.

The customer must therefore follow some simple maintenance rules in order to preserve their Essetre products.

Wood

1. Wipe off any dust with an antistatic or slightly wet cloth.2. Polish the item periodically.3. Avoid the use of any cleanser, solvent or abrasive products.4. Keep temperature and humidity changes to a minimum as these

can cause bending and swelling of the item.5. Avoid contact with water. If this should happen, immediately dry

with a parched cloth.

Forged Knives and Cutlery

Each knife model is manufactured for a specific purpose. Do not use the knife for purposes other than that which they are designed for. The blade must avoid contact with hard materials (ceramic, granite, etc.).

1. Do not wash the knives and cutlery in the dishwasher.2. Hand wash with normal domestic cleansers.3. Prolonged contact with organic liquids can cause damage. 4. Wipe with a dry cloth after washing.5. In order to restore the efficiency of the blade, we suggest the use

of a sharpener:• Keep your elbows at waist height, while holding the sharpener in one hand

and the knife in the other. • Brush the blade against the sharpener at an angle of about 15°.• Repeat this process on the opposite side of the blade. • Two to three movements are sufficient for ordinary maintenance and

15-20 movements are required for blunter blades.

Stainless Steel Utensils

1. Wash the utensils immediately after use.2. Always clean according to the glazing.3. Use neutral cleansers.4. Avoid brushing the utensils with:

• Abrasive products, especially if containing chlorine, steel or synthetic wool.• Metal tools.

5. Do not wash with hypochlorite, chlorine or other free chlorides.6. Dry immediately after washing with a soft, absorptive cloth.

Anti-Adherent Pots

1. After washing the pot, pre-condition the internal layer by oiling it with butter or with oil.

2. Always cook at moderate temperatures, being careful not to overheat an empty pot.

3. Use plastic utensils rather than metal ones. 4. Never cut food inside the pot as this can cause scratching

and damage.5. Do not use abrasive materials and chemicals when washing the

pots. A small quantity of a neutral cleansing solution that has been diluted in warm water will suffice.

6. Dishwasher use is not recommended for these items.7. Anti-adherent pots should not be used on magnetic

induction cookers.
