Pulse output from EM306A meter can be interfacedinto a process through a PLC for on line control ofenergy content in the process.If the PLC has a self excited digital input, external DCsupply is not needed.The kWh pulse is also used to derive average kWhinformation at the PLC.
Pulse output from EM306A meter can be used asalarm generator or total energy controller byinterfacing it with Pre-settable counter and controlcircuits (Contractors, Relay, Trip Circuit).The counter is loaded with the maximum energyconsumption. When count reaches setpoint itprovides output to control circuit to take appropriateaction.
