Summary Emails are essential communication tools that we use everyday at work. With the right email signature, Our emails become not just a means of communicating, but a powerful brand and marketing instrument.

Great email signatures are concise, aesthetically pleasing and creates the right perception.

Poor email signatures lacks uniformity and reflects poor branding.

The New Signature

The corporate communications sub unit is introducing a new set of email signatures to ensure we properly reflect the brand ideals of the Group. Every employee under the Group is expected to adopt the signature style displayed below on every email.

Font Name: Constantia - This font was chosen because it is clean, readable, and overall an excellent and versatile font. Font size: 10, Colour: Dark Blue

Key features:

The first Box represents the Logo of the Group and should be constant

The second Box represents the Logo of the division / subsidiary of which the employee belongs

Correct Application of Signature

The maximum number of logo boxes allowed per email signature is 3. The 3rd box can also be used for special media campaigns / advertisement. See Example below:

Divisions / Subsidiary that wish to use a third box, for adverts or media campaigns should make such requests through the Corporate Communications unit.

Wrong application of Signature

- The fonts, colour or style of the signatures should never be changed. - Only prescribed logo boxes should be used - Additional text should not be added under the signature

Installing the new email signatures

Every employee is expected to comply with the instructions contained in this manual. The attributes of the email signatures must never be modified or changed.

- Every Division/Subsidiary will be given an approved signatures model for use by their wards - The signature model will be sent via email - carefully copy the model and edit using the following instructions:

1. In Outlook click on tools2. On the drop down menu click on options3. On the dialogue box click on the mail format tab4. On the mail format tab click on Signatures 5. Copy and past the signature given to you here. Edit the model to suit you. Note: The font, its size and colour, should be set here. Click OK and continue

The Implementation of the signature will be for 1 Month, starting from June 2012.

The IT Unit and the Corporate communications sub unit will be responsible for the installation phase.
