ABOUT THE COMPANY

A. Lewis Manufacturing is a domestic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of embossed wood, cut

dentil, turned rope mouldings and rosettes.

Most of our products are manufactured to order. This allows engineering flexibility — choosing from several

hundred of our embossing wheels, combined with profiles from stock or proprietary designs developed by

your design team. Manufacturing to order allows our customers to combine species, per style to reach the

most efficient and economic production runs. We offer contract embossing and dentil cutting services and

are happy to emboss or cut your engineered product. Some feel this gives more control of color and clearness

as well as increasing margins.

Our products — embossed, dentil, turned rope mouldings and rosettes — are available in all Appalachian

hardwoods, mahogany, alder, pine and bass.

This catalogue represents the unique mouldings and rosettes we have produced for our customers in

the furniture, cabinet, casket, mantel, picture frame (the list goes on) industries over the years. In all of

our categories, we offer much more then represented in this publication. We are a phone call away from

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

EMBOSSED WOOD MOULDING | Samples of our

original moulding styles are shown on pages 2-6. There is a

chart of measurements that follows giving the thickness,

width and embossing width, as shown on the right. Please note

that we have updated our numbering system to 4-digits, so photo 11 will be listed as 0011 in the chart.

CUT DENTIL MOULDING | All styles are produced to order, allowing our customers to choose profile,

dimensions, and wood species as required. Custom profiles are available.

ROSETTES | Rosettes can be produced square, rectangular and round. Circle cuts from 1-1/2” to 7”.

Edge treatment and profile matching available.

TURNED ROPE MOULDING | Turned rope and beaded turned rope mouldings are available as full and

half-rounds in widths from 3/8” to 3”; as well as quarter-round and outside corner-cap.

INSERT CROWN MOULDING | Used to create exquisite detail, our 3-1/2” insert crown moulding is

designed to receive a wide variety of our embossed, turned rope and dentil mouldings.

CUT DENTIL MOULDING

Cut Dentil Mouldings are available in most cabinet quality kiln-dried woods. All styles of cut dentil moulding are produced to order, allowing our customers to choose and combine species as required. Custom profiles are available

upon request. All cuts are 1/4 inch width and blocks are either 1/2 inch or 1-1/4 inch width.

ROSET TES

Our 3-1/2” insert crown moulding is designed to receive a wide variety of our embossed, turned rope and dentil mouldings.

Here are a few samples of insert crown moulding combinations.

Turned rope and beaded turned rope mouldings are available 3/8” to 2” full and half round, 1/2” to 2” quarter round, and 1/2” to 2” outside quarter cap. Turned rope mouldings are

generally kept in stock.
