3.5.Operating Condition of EUT

3.5.1.Setup the EUT and simulators as shown in Section 3.1.

3.5.2.Turn on the power of all equipments.

3.5.3.Let the EUT work in test mode and test it.

3.6.Test Procedure The EUT is put on the table that is 0.8m high above the ground and connected to the AC mains through Artificial Mains Network (AMN). This provided a 50 ohms coupling impedance for the tested equipments. Both sides of AC line are checked to find out the maximum conducted emission levels according to the EN55013 regulations during conducted emission test. The bandwidth of the test receiver (Spedtrum Analyzer R3132) is set at 9KHz. The frequency range from 150 KHz to 30 MHz is investigated. The test data are listed in the Section 3.7 and the scanning waveform are attached within Appendix I.

3.7.Power Line Conducted Emission Test Results PASS. The frequency spectrum from 0.15 MHz to 30 MHz is investigated.

4.5.Operating Condition of EUT

4.5.1.Setup the EUT and simulators as shown in Section 4.1.

4.5.2.Turn on the power of all equipments.

4.5.3.Let the EUT work in test mode and test it.

4.6.Test Procedure The EUT is placed on the table which is 0.8m high above the ground and away from other metallic surface at least 0.4m. It is connected to the power mains through an extension cord of 6m min. The absorber clamp clamps the cord and moves from the far end to the EUT to measure the disturbing energy emitted from the cord. The bandwidth of the test receiver(R3132) is set at 120kHz. The frequency spectrum from 30 MHz to 300 MHz is investigated. The test data are listed in the Section 4.7 and the scanning waveform are attached within Appendix II.

4.7.Disturbance Power Test Result PASS. The frequency spectrum from 30 MHz to 300 MHz is investigated. Detailed information, please see the appendix (II) file.

9.6.1. The measurement set-up must be arranged as 9.1. 9.6.2. The EUT is placed 0.1m above the center of a metal ground plane

of dimensions 2m by 1m. The mains lead shall be bundled to a length less than 0.3m and connected in the shortest possible way to the MSF.

9.6.3. For adjusting, the wanted signals are set, dependent on the type of EUT and its operating mode.

9.6.4. The audio controls of the EUT, other than the volume control, are set at normal position. The volume control must be adjusted to obtain an audio output power of 50 mW to obtain the adequate S/N ratio.

9.6.5. For the measurement, the unwanted signal or the interference signal is applied to the terminal under test by making the connections as 9.1.

10.6.Test Procedure

10.6.1. The measurement set-up must be arranged as 10.1. 10.6.2. The required field strength is adjusted with the EUT inside the

set-up as described 10.1. The equipment however is switched off during the adjustment.

10.6.3. For the measurement, the unwanted signal is supplied by generator being connected through wide-band amplifier, and low-pass filter F to matching network MN of the stripline. The wide-band amplifier Am may be required to provide the necessary field strength. The stripline is loaded with a terminating impedance TI.

10.6.4. The wanted signals must be 1KHz, 500 mV (e.m.f.). 10.6.5. The unwanted signal shall be amplitude modulated with 1 KHz

at 80% depth, supplied by generator and amplifier. 10.6.6. Measurements shall be performed while taking into account the

general performance criterion and immunity requirements.

12.6.1. The measurement set-up must be arranged as 12.1. 12.6.2. Measurements shall be carried out in accordance with IEC

61000-4-3 in the frequency range 80 MHz to 150 MHz with limits as section 12.3. The recommended step size of 1% shall be replaced by a scanning, which allows for an adequate observation time of the possible interference.

13.6.Test Procedure

13.6.1.Air Discharge: This test is done on a non-conductive surface. The round discharge tip of the discharge electrode shall be approached as fast as possible to touch the EUT. After each discharge, the discharge electrode shall be removed from the EUT. The generator is then re-triggered for a new single discharge and repeated 10 times for each pre-selected test point. This procedure shall be repeated until all the air discharge completed.

13.6.2.Contact Discharge: All the procedure shall be same as Section 13.6.1 except that the tip of the discharge electrode shall touch the EUT before the discharge switch is operated.

Indirect discharge for horizontal coupling plane At least 20 single discharges shall be applied to the horizontal coupling plane, at points on each side of the EUT. The discharge electrode position is vertically at a distance of 0.1m from the EUT and with the discharge electrode touching the coupling plane.

Indirect discharge for vertical coupling plane At least 20 single discharges shall be applied to the center of one vertical edge of the coupling plane. The coupling plane, of dimensions 0.5m X 0.5m, is placed parallel to, and positioned at a distance of 0.1m from the EUT. Discharges shall be applied to the coupling plane, with this plane in sufficient different positions that the four faces of the EUT are completely illuminated.
