EMD was established humbly in 1979 by the versatile and charismatic entrepreneur Mr. Moshe Eliav. Driven by his farsighted vision and motivation, EMD marked several milestones in its growth history, domestically and overseas.

With offices in Israel and New York, EMD has carved a niche in the dynamic international diamond industry. Offering world class diamonds between 0.7 to 5 carats, D-J color and in almost all clarities & shapes manufactured at our state-of-the-art, eco-friendly facility in Israel.

Rough Sourcing

When the earth was still young, deep beneath its surface, diamonds were created. The journey which brings this most precious gift of the soil to you is one that has taken billions of years. This inspiring journey and the tremendous beauty of these treasures from nature are at the heart of the passion we have for what we do. The fruit of this passion is what we offer you today.

At EMD, our love affair with diamonds is now in its second generation, and the respect and admiration we have for these treasures from nature is as strong now as it was back then. Every diamond is studied and understood so that we may unlock its secret potential in full. Our expert team then employs state of the art technology to bring that vision into being, and offer it to you to be framed in the beautiful jewelry it deserves.


EMD sources its rough diamonds from mines across the globe, offering enhanced consistency of supply and assurance as to the authenticity and integrity of our diamonds. We buy directly from Alrosa in Russia and also count Belgium as an important source of rough diamonds.

EMD ensures that all the rough it purchases are conflict free, by only working with Kimberly Process Certified diamonds.

Our Manufacturing

At EMD, each and every rough diamond will be seen by the most skilled artisans and advanced technology before reaching its ultimate form. EMD has constantly strived to achieve best value by balancing yield and quality, but it is our make which sets us apart. We believe every diamond deserves to be as beautiful as it can be; to fulfill the potential mother earth gave it.

To achieve this, our manufacturing units are equipped with the latest laser machines for rough cutting and the best of Sarin machines and technology that gives the best parameters and maximum yield through accurate planning and highly skilled and motivated craftsmen to bring the vision to reality.

Located in the heart of diamond market in Ramat Gan, Israel, EMD group has one manufacturing unit comprising a workforce of 56 skilled artisans.

Our company constantly tests new technology for our production. We always follow and analyze market trends to capture current best practice and develop new cuts and parameters to push the art and science of diamond manufacturing to new levels.

We abide by the industry benchmark DeBeers ethical code of conduct known as the Diamond Best Practice Principles and are always careful to honor diamonds by meeting our Social & Environmental responsibilities.


Our Diamonds

EMD prides itself in bringing out the fire and brilliance in every diamond. We strive for excellence not only in the diamonds we produce, but also in the services we provide. Our clients know that whatever their requirements might be, we will provide them with exactly what they need.

Our production ranges from 0.70cts to 5cts and more in shapes that include Round, Cushion, Princess, Emerald, Heart, Marquise, Oval, Pear, Asscher and Radiant in qualities from VVS to SI2. All of our diamonds are been graded by the globally respected lab GIA.

With tailored assortments for all needs and according to our client demands it makes more convenient for our hubs in Israel and New York to offer our clients a wide selection of very fine make fancy shapes and round shape.

We at EMD always thrive to provide something unique and value adding to our clients: including Canada Mark, Gemex certificates, Forevermark and Customized diamond Cuts (specialized Niche Cuts). All diamonds above SI2 are provided with a GIA cert - Diamond Dossiers for below 1ct and Full GIA Reports for 1ct up.

EMD Diamond Layouts and Matching Side Stones

At EMD, we try to cater everything that involves diamonds, as Jewelry being the final destination of every diamond; we have reinvented ourselves to match with the changing times.

As the next step towards assisting our customers in choosing diamonds as well as envisioning jewelry design layouts for the same, we have introduced the "EMD Diamond Layouts" and the "EMD matching side stones".

This is a combination of designer and elegant jewelry set outlines for the finest quality solitaires in the world, and customers can use these to base their design ideas on, as these can be easily customized according to individual tastes and preferences.


We offer a wide spectrum of 10 unique shapes in all color range including fancy colors created by our highly skilled designer team who has vast experience in designing jewelry, thereby allowing the practicalities of jewelry designing and manufacturing to be considered before proposing a ring or a layout.

Eppolete Cut

This marvelously cut side stone diamond is our own new unique cut and brand and is been exclusively marketed to our selective customers. After many years of development, cutting this masterpiece diamond became possible using the most sophisticated and novel technology available today.

Smooth round lines characterize the delicate outlines of the stone, comprised of meticulously polished facets. This carefully designed cut gives rise to the unique internal reflection of light, creating an endless sense of depth in the heart of the diamond.

With experience comes perspective. I have been blessed with the perspective that comes from watching the diamond industry grow and develop over the course of two generations of diamond manufacturing.

We founded EMD with the same principles of reliability, transparency and quality that have been the core of our family business for over 30 years. EMD has achieved several benchmarks in the Israel diamond manufacturing industry, we are proud to have some very prominent global names as our customers and associates- from diamond wholesalers, jewelry manufacturers, chain stores to small independent stores- and welcoming more. While we shape diamonds, it's actually they who have shaped us.

Tradition and family have always been indispensable values for me. For this reason I am especially proud to see my two sons Nir and Roy help me lead the company. At EMD, my sons and I remain dedicated to these traditions while incorporating innovation to perfect our service and manufacture beautifully-crafted diamonds.
