Introduction 3
IntroductionHoneywell Automation College and our exceptional faculty and staff wish to extend you a warm welcome. Whether you are a returning student, just beginning your training plan or taking advantage of our online courses, Automation College offers you a quality learning experience to help exceed your performance goals.
Our training solutions are designed to help you become more productive and proactive while delivering greater value to your operations. The courses are targeted to meet your organizational needs and are delivered in the most convenient and cost-effective format.
Our team is available to work closely with you and your staff to define a comprehensive training program that can be conducted at one of our world class training facilities or even at your site.
Versatile Training Solutions
Training Match Fund (TMF)The Training Match Fund (TMF) is an attractive option under the Solutions Enhancement Support Program (SESP) contract that doubles your training budget with Honeywell matching your contribution.
You may select the TMF option at the beginning of your SESP contract term and contribute up to 10% of your SESP program price. Honeywell matches that amount Euro for Euro, which effectively allows you to avail Automation College courses at half the List Price.
Additionally the TMF can be
• Used for standard in-centre courses, tailored courses or on-site courses.
• Used to pay for Honeywell User Group fees.
If you consume the TMF fully in that contract year, Automation College will allow any additional training also at 50% of the List Price. That means you can top up the fund throughout the contract term!
Please note that the top of TMF is only possible if your initial contribution to the TMF is 10% of the SESP contract price. Secondly, TMF entitlement is valid for that contract year only. You can’t carry over the outstanding fund.
Please contact your Honeywell Account Manager for more information about the SESP Contract and the TMF.

Training Needs Assessment (TNA)Training Needs Assessment (TNA) is a service that effectively identifies the gaps between capabilities of your Honeywell Automation & Control Systems vis-à-vis the skills of your operations and maintenance workforce to exploit maximum benefit from it. This service also provides you with a customized training plan that will help improve skills, knowledge and performance of your plant personnel.
Training Needs Assessment (TNA) is a process that
• Studies customer installed base, process automation and safety systems along with any advanced and/or business applications.
• Understands the job role s of the people involved in the maintenance, operations, engineering, system administration, supervision and management of the automation system.
• Evaluates the existing skill levels against the benchmarks levels required to safely and efficiently operate, maintain, administer, or manage the automation system.
• Identifies the gaps in skills, possible risks, under utilization of the systems capabilities and inefficiencies due to lack of knowledge.
• Provides a comprehensive training plan to cover these gaps for all the stake holders.
• Customized courses

Honeywell Certification Program 5
Honeywell Certification ProgramFor over 10 years, Honeywell has been certifying its employees on Experion PKS, Safety Manager and Uniformance PHD. Now the same certification process is offered to your own workforce. The benefits of Honeywell Certification Program are:
• Extended challenge strengthens know-how and material mastery
• Standardized tests demonstrate knowledge gained
• Employee competence is assured
• Efficient, effective measure of skill level
• Get the most out of the functionality of your technology
The certification tests can be taken on the last day of the course and it will be proctored by the instructor. Depending on the course, the participant gets an opportunity to earn following certifications:
• Honeywell Certified Associate (HCA) – This certification verifies student mastery of fundamental knowledge of the core product training content.
• Honeywell Certified Professional (HCP) – This certification verifies student mastery of advanced knowledge of the core product training content.
• Honeywell Certified Specialist (HCS) – This certification verifies student mastery of knowledge of products that are add-ons to or independent of core products training content.
