2015 USCB Emerging Artists Competition Prospectus Presented by: Department of Fine Arts Objective: USCB seeks to support and showcase exemplary artistic achievements of junior and senior high school students in the southeast United States. Jurors: USCB Art Faculty Scholarship Awards:* 1st Place - $3,000 2nd Place - $2,000 3rd Place - $1,000 Honorable Mention - $500. Acceptable Media: Open to any and all traditional or non-traditional visual art media including digital still and time-based media. *art scholarship awards contingent upon admission to USCB with a major in Studio Art. Submission Guidelines: All entries must be submitted online. Teachers can help student entries with the link below. A total of three works only by each student. <www.uscb.edu/emerging_artist.html> Images/Links: USCB can only accept digital images of artwork or links for video and animation. All Video/Animation/Time Based Media must be formatted for Quicktime and should not exceed 3 minutes in length. If accepted into the show, videos will be presented in a video loop during the event. File Names: School name followed by the student's last name and then entry number (i.e. BeaufortHigh _Smith01.jpg, BeaufortHigh_Smith02.jpg). File Size: Images must be saved in a HIGH QUALITY JPEG format and should be sized to 1200 pixels on the longest side. Entry Fee: There is no entry fee to participate in this competition. Delivery & Return of Work: All work accepted must arrive ready to install. 2D works should be framed and ready to hang. Accepted work that differs significantly from the entry images or suffers from poor presentation may be disqualified. Work may be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped works must be sent in an easily reusable container/packaging with return shipping prepaid. Objective:USCB seeks to support and showcase exemplary artistic achievements of junior andsenior high school students in the southeastUnited States.
