    S.H.A.R.E. distribution day is this Saturday, July 27 from 6:30am8:45am in theMultipurpose Room. Volunteers are always welcome on distribution day to assist inassembling the orders.

    Its Time! Pack the picnic baskets, pull out the games, get your family together andprepare to have a full day of fellowship and fun and games!     The month ofAugust will be Thematic Sundays. Each Thematic worship servicewill be at 9:30am. The attire for the month of August is casual, but please no tornjeans, shorts or tank tops.

    Entrepreneurial Sunday-- Calling all MBC Business Owners!If you would like the opportunity to promote your business to the Macedoniacongregation, on Sunday, August 11th, Macedonia will host an EntrepreneurialShowcase in the Multipurpose Room following the 9:30am service. Registration willtake place Sunday, July 14th thru Sunday, August 3rd at the Information Center. Anon-refundable registration fee of $25.00 is due at the time of registration.     An important six week workshop on bereavement sponsored by the Virginia HospitalCenter is being offered. The Interchurch Health Initiative organization that MBC is apart of received this information to encourage members who may need this vital re-storative service to take advantage of this workshop. This is a free limited group be-reavement workshop available to the public. Michael Knapik is a licensed professionalcounselor and chaplain at VHC. The attached flyer has additional details.

    The 2nd Sunday (Sept. 8) is Homecoming and designated Family & Friends Day.

    Invite your family, friends, and past members to come and worship with us for ourHomecoming at 7:45am and/or the 10:45am Worship Services. Dinner will be servedafter the 10:45am service.

    MBCs semi-annual church meeting will be on Wednesday, September 11 at 7:00pm.All MBC members are invited to be a part of this meeting.

    The 2013 Bible study schedule is as follows

    and begins at 7pm

    Each 1st Wednesdaywill be Corporate Prayer and Praise. Everyone isencouragedand invited to attend.Every2nd Wednesdayof the month will be Pastors Bible Study which is opentoeveryone.Every3rd Wednesdayof the month will be Mens and Womens Bible Study.

    Each 4th Wednesdaywill be Young Adult Bible Study.

    The 5th Wednesdayof each month will be Leadership Night. All leaders ofMBCwill meet with Pastor Hamlin.

    The Communications Ministry is in need of additional members to assist in carryingout its ministry work. Below is a chart of duties/projects that are assigned to the CMand the current member who leads the project. Please review the list to see where theLord will lead you to assist. You may contact any of the members listed below or sendan email to [email protected] listing the project(s) you desire to assist. The CMmeets bi-weekly on Saturday mornings and also rely heavily on e-mail communica-tion. We anxiously await to hear from you.

    COMMUNITY NEWS:Nauck Civic Association is in the midst of its membership drive. See the attached flyerfor details.

    Attached is a flyer for our Saturday Food Distribution. Please note that to be signedup, individuals need to come in during business hours and meet with us. They must

    bring proof of residency (ID, lease, etc.) and last pay stub/ proof of income (i.e. SocialSecurity award letter). They are able to come once as a walk in, if they would like tocheck it out before signing up.

    If they already receive food from AFAC at a different location, they are able to switchto our site. It takes a few days though, so they should come in and request the switchearly in the week, if they plan to pick up food here on a Saturday.

    Explore the best of Arlington at the 37th Annual Arlington County Fair! Join us August 7-11 for fun rides, pigraces, performances from local bands, and more.     Fall Class Registration Times Change!

    Resident online registration begins August 14 for fall classes. In an effort to better serve the growing numberof Arlingtonians who enjoy our classes, the Department of Parks and Recreation is moving up and dividingclass registration times. On August 14, resident online registration opens only for Gymnastics classes at 7:00a.m. and for ALL OTHER classes resident online registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

    26th Annual Peruvian Festival FREE

    Immerse yourself in Peruvian culture, July 28, noon-7pm at Gunston Middle School. Watch dancers and other performers while you enjoy some tasty authentic food, an arts andcrafts market, info booths, a playground for the kids and more!     4v4 Adult Flag Football Tournament

    Join us under the lights, August 24, 3pm-midnight, at Long Bridge Park for the second annual adult 4v4 flag foot-ball tournament .Divisions include both COED and Men's. Teams must play a three game minimum, top teams qualify for play-offs. The fee is $100 per team. Email Megan Carney for more information or to register.

    Family Fun: Campfires at Long Branch and Gulf Branch Nature Centers!

    The whole family is invited to join us every Saturday this summer (except Aug. 24), 7-8pm, for some old-

    fashioned fun! Campfire programs include stories, songs, games, special live animal guests and of course,S'mores! This summer topics will range from Rascally Raccoons to High-flying Hawks to Buzzing Bees. $5 feeper participant, registration not required for children age 2 and under.
