The Board of Directors meets in closed executive session from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to each general-session meeting for the purposes of conducting hearings for violations to the governing documents, discussion of delinquent accounts, legal and personnel matters. Design Review Meetings will take place directly after the close of each general session meeting on an as needed basis. Design Review meetings also occur as needed and are posted on the bulletin board located on Morningside Drive. The Board may also set up additional Board of Directors meetings at their discretion. The Board of Directors Meeting scheduledfor July 12, 2012 has been cancelled. The third quarter meeting has been rescheduled for September 27,2012 at 6:00 p.m. Thefourth quarter meeting is scheduledfor October 25,2012 at 6:00 p.m. As our newsletter is distributed quarterly, meeting notices may also be found on the Association's website or posted at a bulletin board being..installed on common area on Morningside Court. The bulletin board location will beat the intersection of Morningside and Arlington in Village 47 Fire Season Is Upon Us! : Please do not ride motorized vehicles on open space or trail areas. These areas are posted for authorized vehicles only. One of the reasons for this is due to the fire danger presented by motorized vehicles. If you see this type of activity occurring, please contact the Folsom PD dispatch line at (916) 355-7731 and they will send someone out to investigate. For safe and sane fireworks guidelines and City ordinance relating to fireworks, please check the website: http://v.'WW.folsom.ca.us/depts/fire/services/4th_ofjuly _fireworks. asp Reminders: We ask for your continued cooperation and assistance in helping us to maintain the curb appeal of our community by complying with the Use Restrictions and Rules for Empire Ranch. The Association forwards Owners' Manuals (which include rules, regulations and architectural guidelines) to Lot Owners upon receipt of title change paperwork. If you have misplaced your Owners' Manual, you can log onto the website for a copy. Recreational Vehicles, Trailers, Etc.: With the exception of Fridays and Saturdays, parking of these types of vehicles in visible locations for a period oflonger than four hours is prohibited. Also, the City of Folsom does not permit unhitched boats or trailers on the street. You may report this type of activity to City of Folsom Code Enforcement via the City's website. Encroachment Into Open Space Areas: The City of Folsom and its Planning Staff put careful thought into the open space plan for Empire Ranch and the result is a natural amenity that we all are able to enjoy. Please do not introduce irrigation, plant material or personal property (such as bird feeders, tree swings, benches and the like) into open space areas (plant material and pe~s.9nalproperty will be removed_witho~tnotice). Our goaUS to preserve these areas in their natural condition. IT IS A BANNER YEAR FOR RATTLESNAKES PLEASE TAKE CARE! The open space areas within Empire Ranch are beautiful but do pose natural hazards that you should keep an eye out for. Please remain on trail systems and restrain pets with leashes. Our hillsides and trails are home to wildlife species, which include mountain lions and rattlesnakes. If you sight a mountain lion it is helpful to report that sighting to Fish and Game through their local Rancho Cordova office. This will allow them to note the sighting and make future determinations regarding animals that may lose their fear of human beings. If you live on a lot abutting open space please be aware that some animals may pose a threat to small children or pets that are left unattended in a rear yard areas. -...-~ Sacramento County Vector Control: It's that time of year again. Prepare to fight the bite. Make sure to --::,;.;:; apply mosquito deterrent to exposed areas of your body when moving out and about, .•.• ..,.. particularly in the early morning and during evening hours. Vector Control has an excellent website which answers questions and takes service requests regarding vector species such as mosquitoes. The website can be found at http://www.fightthebite.net!. If you have concerns regarding vector control issues you may submit both questions and service requests directly to the Sac-Yolo Vector control using the website. All water quality basins that can sustain fish have been stocked with mosquito fish. Empire Ranch is also included in the vector control district.

NOTE FROM CITY OF FOLSOM CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION: Our City Code Enforcement Officers receivecalls about many of the issues and code violations that are present in our neighborhoods. Some ofthese problems are covered inmost CC&R's though enforcement ofthese remains difficult. The City of Folsom has several codes that do cover some of theseproblems. The City's Code Enforcement Division will usually issue warning notices and may issue fines if the violation is notbrought into compliance. Some of the most common violations are: 1) Overgrowth of vegetation, weeds, and shrubs in yardswhich can become a fire hazard. 2) Vehicles stored on a street for more than 72 hours in one location or without currentregistration may be tagged, issued a parking citation, or even towed. Vehicles stored on private property must be operationaland registered as well. Vehicles stored inside a garage are exempt. 3) Detached trailers and boats are not allowed to be storedon the street. Vehicles in violation may be tagged, cited, or even towed. Trailers stored in driveways may not extend onto thesidewalks. 4) Junk, debris, and abandoned materials are not allowed to be stored on private property. 5) Basketball hoops andsporting equipment shall not be stored on streets or sidewalks. 6) The City camping ordinance allows for RV's to be parked infront of the home the owners are visiting for a maximum of 10 days in a calendar year. However, vehicle parking regulationsdue apply to RV' s.
