REMINDERS TO CANDIDATES

1. Interviews will be conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 2. You must wear your name tag.

3. Expect to spend 5-10 minutes with each employer, but take your cues from the recruiter. Be sure

to get the recruiter’s name and title for use in follow-up contact. Ask for his/her business card.

4. Many organizations require candidates to submit an online application as part of their selection process. Do not be discouraged if representatives direct you to their web page for this purpose. It is simply one more step in the process to secure employment with their organization.

5. If the waiting line to talk to a particular employer is too long, go to another employer and come back later.

6. Feel free to talk to employers who have not advertised for your major, stressing your

qualifications for a job with that company. But do not be insulted if they tell you they are only interested in specific majors.

7. If you need assistance or have questions, come to Candidate Registration and speak to a Career

Professional or ask someone wearing a CPEC staff badge.

8. WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK! Before leaving the Fair, complete and hand in an evaluation form. The Evaluation Table is located in the main lobby.

9. Follow-up with employers is extremely important. A Thank You note should be sent within 48 hours to all employers that you spoke with at the Fair. Visit your Career Center if you need assistance.

Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), www.ccrl.us The Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) has been serving the materials testing industry since 1929 through our laboratory inspection and proficiency testing programs. CCRL is sponsored by the standards organization, ASTM International and is located in Frederick, Maryland. Our laboratory inspection program provides on-site assessments of construction materials testing laboratories testing cement, pozzolan, masonry mortar, concrete, aggregates, concrete masonry units, brick, and steel reinforcing bar. This on-site assessment evaluates the laboratories abilities to perform tests according to applicable ASTM standards, pertaining to quality systems, equipment, and procedures. Our proficiency testing program provides uniform samples of construction materials, which are tested by the laboratories. The results are then evaluated by CCRL, by statistical means, to determine whether the results of the testing where accurate.
