Application Process • Heritage Branch sent an e-mail to your organization
confirming its eligibility on the “Community Museums Summer Employment Program” for 2018
• As an employeer, you are responsible to find an employee for each approved position

years of age at the start of employment

Application Process • Note: Satisfied employees are the best public
relations representatives that your organization can have. If they like their work, they will readily share this information.
• Once a candidate is selected, the employer must communicate with Heritage Branch:

• Personal Tax Credits Return (Canada and New Brunswick) TD1 & TD1 NB (both sides)
• Direct Deposit Application (include void cheque)
• Affirmation / Oath of Service
• Weekly Time Sheet
• Copy of SIN Card
• Copy of birth certificate or driver’s licence

Payroll Information
1) Maximum length of the summer employment: 9 weeks
2) Minimum wage: $11.25
3) Maximum of hours / week: 35
4) End of the program: All work must be completed by Saturday, October 13, 2018

Top-up Wages
• Employers who choose to top-up wages must inform Heritage Branch in writing.
• Upon termination of the employee(s), an invoice will be forwarded to the museum for the top-up reimbursement.

Payroll System
• Once all requested forms are received along with their first time sheet, the employee will be registered in the payroll system.
• An employee number will be issued and can be found at the bottom of the notice of deposit (pay stub).
• The employee is responsible to provide their employee number on every time sheet they submit.

Payroll Process
• It is crucial that the employee correctly and legibly complete all the required forms.
• The time sheets must have all required sections completed and appropriate signatures (Employee and Supervisor).
• Return all forms to Heritage Branch. Failure will result in:
• The employee will not be registered in the payroll system
• An employee number will not be generated
• The employee will not get paid for that pay period

Deadline to submit time sheets
• Time sheets must be submitted every second THURSDAY to Heritage Branch.

Employee’s Pay
• Heritage Branch will NOT be contacting employees or supervisors to advise them that time sheets are late or incomplete.
• If employees do not get paid or if they have questions about their pay, they can contact the New Brunswick Internal Services Agency at:

Audits
• Employers must maintain accurate payroll records. The payroll records will be requested by the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture for auditing purposes.
