Title of the campaign:

Wir Heizen Nicht Ins Freie - We Don’t heat into the open

Summary in English (max 200 words):

The main point of our project "We Don’t heat into the open“ is, to save

one thing, energy in all possible areas. This was also our inspiration and

motivation to plan the project, to come to an end, and finally complete it.

Through great support from the teacher-team and of course the students,

we were able to develop a system that is in a very simple production,

saves money and also provides the required quality. Since September

2010 our innovative system is an integral part of our school. Initially in the

testing phase, but operational since October 2010, ready and full. But our

main goal was not reached, however, because we want, that our system

is used not only in our school, but also at other schools, financial houses,

public buildings, etc., where currently heated into the open and

exponential energy costs and the increase in CO2 ejection isn’t stopping.

Campaign Objectives:

Our main goals of our project are to discover in the next following years, not only our schools Innovative system, but also financial houses, public buildings, etc. This would be our greatest goal and at the same time a

dream.

Target audience(s):

Other schools, financial houses, public buildings and anywhere where you can still heat up the outside, without being aware of the harms the environment, as it costs a lot of money.

Implementation timeline:

19.09.2010, - the biggest milestone was the installation of the system to our school and at the same time observing the students how to really saves energy - There is no end of the campaign, which you should always save energy!

Campaign message:

The message is clear: save energy and money while protecting the environment.

List and short description of undertaken actions:

Installation of the system

walk around the school to tell each student properly how to save energy

distribution system

The installation was carried out by our students at the school and could thus saving even more money to be made. Furthermore, through the tour of our school in every class, every student was able to see, such as energy saving work. At last even the distribution of our system: This is discussed currently and I can say right now, unfortunately no further details

Special features of the campaign:

The system was designed from the ground up again and is currently in full

operation. Another special feature is that it exclusively students have

planned and designed.

Dissemination channels:

Through our innovative system we have been awarded already and are therefore often find in various newspapers and also on the internet.

Resources necessary to carry out actions:

The best ideas came from the students and if no solution is found, we have encountered resources on the Internet.

Results:

As was often spoken about, we are out with our system already from the beta phase and our system works since last year with full quality in all its forms.

Conclusions and suggestions for possible improvements:

There are at almost every project to improve something that always comes to the ways of comprehending each individual in it. Since we were in the early days, almost every day was something we could improve and this should continue so. We would be delighted if someone has an idea to make this system more innovative. Since we have also made thoughtfully, we want this system to contribute something and that’s the project with the light absorption for a room. But this is still in the planning and wasn’t tested.

The U4Energy competition we see as a great opportunity to present something innovative and much lighter to win with good rating something. But that is not our main goal. This is to save energy. And how that would be better than at u4Energy.

Detailed description of the campaign goal:

The real main goal of our innovative project is to have not only our school but other schools, financial institutions, to equip public buildings with it. This was the beginning, our main goal. Concrete steps have also been made already. Through the publication through the Internet and with the local press, we were able to impress some consumers. By the economics of our project, we hope some of our systems in the years to bring in the area. At least every school in the district of Ried should be equipped with our system. This is currently the hot topic of conversation at our school.

We already have a price at Global Energy, a project of "Youth Innovation" award. This was our first big prize and the first presentation of our project.

We are currently in the planning of an "upgrade" of our project described here. It is a system that measures the light brightness and automatically backs off the light when there is sufficient light in a room. But this is still in the planning and development, but much lighter they hear soon from this innovative system.
