Tempo products are designed, developed andrigorously tested, always in close collaboration withnetwork engineers.

The Nautilus range of test telephones is a directresponse to customer requirements identifiedby Chesilvale.

Relatively short in-service life was attributed to severeenvironmental conditions encountered in maintainingoutside plant. Mechanical damage, changingtemperature and humidity were identified as the mainreasons for failure.

The Nautilus range was developed specifically toaddress these problems. They feature a new conceptin housing design, including crush-proof ribs, and amembrane system that prevents the electronicsinside the phone from becoming damp. Nautilusproducts were subjected to rigorous tests to ensurethat they could stand up to the realities ofa field engineer’s environment.

The Zero forceinsertion tool from Greenlee

Textron is another example of a product designed inresponse to the needs of our customers.

The punchdown tool is used by every cablingcontractor, but repeated use leads to hand fatigue.Greenlee recognised the problem and developed asolution that not only reduces kick back onto thepalm, but is able to deliver a higher impact force.
