Water baptism does NOT save

• As a ceremonial rite on its own• Just asking someone to baptise

you in water will not save you on its own

• Water baptism does not make you into a Christian

Water baptism does NOT save

• But a Christian is baptised in water because they are saved

• Water baptism does not make you into a Christian

• But water baptism marks you as a Christian

The Blood of Jesus (not water) cleanses

Saved by grace (not water) thru Faith

• dip, immerse or submerge• To completely cover

• were SUBMERGED in water• To be submerged or covered

completely over – like being buried

You need a lot of water – not just a “sprinkle from a

bowl”

You go down into the water
