Important Information

The school year is over. (Almost)

The information in here is for all band students that have Mr. Gibson now or next year.

Do you really need to go to graduation?Friday May 25

The band plays Pomp and Circumstance for graduation every year. Yes you need to be there to help. If you can not make it, for a good reason, you need to fill out a RALF on the web site.

Call time is 4:30pm at the high school band room! Please dress nice.

Are you doing summer band?Remember to show up.

If you are doing the HS marching band all the info you need is in other flyers. If you are doing the summer only band the first practice is on Wednesday June 6 at 10am. Be at the HS on time with your horn and good marching shoes.

The summer $25 marching band fee is due at that practice and checks should be made out to UHS.

Do you use a school horn?Turn it In.

Your school horn needs to be turned in to Mr. Gibson the last week of school. If you need it for graduation make arrangements to turn it in to Gibson after the ceremony.

Are you ready for next year?Don’t let the horn collect dust.

If you leave your horn in the case all summer you will not be as good in the fall as you are now. Get it out at least once a week and play. Play anything you want, but play.

Want to be better next fall?Take Lessons.

Find someone to help you over the summer. There are a lot of people better than you. Find one and have them teach you some things. Then when you come back you will be better.

What class should you be in?The next one.

If you are at the JH next year you need to be in the class for your grade. If you are at the HS next year and not in Jazz or Marching you should be registered for Concert Band 2nd and 3rd trimester.
