Rather, federal policy should be aimed at helping people move from crisis to stability, and ultimately to a place where they are thriving.” Gave Written Testimony to National Hunger Commission “How can we have a goal of a family thriving and then count it successful when they are signed up for public benefits? Research and a focus on results has to be paired with the services provided.” Testified to Committee on the Budget United States House of Representatives “I am not a politician. But I believe and know that safety of our citizens and the concept of welcoming the stranger are not mutually exclusive.
