This program is designed to promote electric products and new technologies that promote energy efficiency and the wise use of electricity that represent a value for our Member Systems and their member-owners. Tri-State’s EEP program was initiated in 1985 and continues to be a voluntary program as a means to encourage and reward energy efficient purchases and practices that promote energy efficiency and the wise use of electricity. The program provides member-owners with rebates for the installation of efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and similar energy saving equipment. In 2015, the Member Systems of Tri-State saved approximately 147,595 megawatt-hours of energy through the energy efficiency program’s new and previously installed equipment. All Tri-State Member Systems are eligible to participate and they may tailor product selection to meet their specific goals. THE FUTURE OF EEP With its Member Systems, Tri-State continually reviews new energy efficiency technologies, energy codes, regulations and the market to ensure the EEP program continues to meet the needs of their member-owners. Over the past few years, Tri-State has updated and expanded the EEP program to provide the greatest benefits to our Member Systems and their member-owners. Federal energy efficiency standards and equipment pricing changes are overtaking some of Tri-State’s present offerings and incentives will continue to evolve. TRISTATE.COOP
