BMS/SCADA | a case study of Two Rivers Mall

Custom BMS compatible control panels for Two Rivers

Development.

The control panels to used to power 23No pumps sourced from

Davis & Shirtliff for the Riverfront Water Pool Filtration Plant and

Waterfall Installations.

Client’s consultant : Maiteri and Associates

TASK

BMS/SCADA | TWO RIVERS

I. 3No sump pump control panels for sump pumps in 3No plantrooms

II. 1No sump pumps control panels for two sump pumps in the 4th

plant room

III. 5No filtration plant control panels each to control 2No filtration

pumps and operate the chlorinator. The filtration pumps are the

high spec Dayliff AUREL 4 Swimming pool pumps while the

chlorinators are DAVEY Ecomatic M4921 chlorinator.

IV. 2No water fall pump sets control panels each to control 4No Dayliff

Aurel 4 swimming pool pumps using variable frequency drives in a

duty-standby configuration.

TASK

I. Premium grade control panel components: Schneider for Power

and control circuit; Siemens and Grundfos for automation.

II. BMS/SCADA ready - Dedicated MODBUS servers for remote

control and monitoring via MODBUS TCP:

III. Status information- Panel live, AUTO mode selection, Pump

ON/OFF, Current, Filter pressure for the filtration plant, Speed of

pumps and VSD status for water fall pump sets,

IV. Alarm information- Trip on overload, phase failure, dry run

V. Controllability-Start/Stop on AUTO mode, Duty point selection for

the waterfall pumpsets.

VI. Cyclic timers for filtration plant pumps selectable in AUTO mode.

flowrate to 10 Tubs used for cooling batteries

fed system to serve more than the existing tubs

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

a) Re-plumbing the facility system flow paths

b) Use fewer pipe fittings along the flow path

c) Thorough Pipe cleaning

d) Alarm information- Trip on overload, phase failure, dry run

e) Automation of the system feedline flow rates to the respective tubs

f) Future increase in the cooling tubs number require Variable Speed

Controlled Pumping.
