We are the national association of English language teaching centres in the United Kingdom. We work to raise standards, promote the UK as the world’s leading English language learning destination, speak for our members and ensure students have a great experience.

Our membersWe have 470+ members, from small language schools to boarding schools and universities. We keep standards high through our Accreditation UK scheme (run with the British Council) and our extensive training programmes.

Our international eventsOur programme of events includes five major agent workshops eachyear, promotional campaigns and agent trips to visit English UK members.

Our Partner Agency SchemeWe have 250 partner agencies across 50 countries. They receive a special logo, visa updates, a listing on the English UK website and more.

We keep you up-to-date on the UK and what our members can offer your students in lots of different ways, including:

What we do for agents: confidence

You want to be sure that when you book students onto a course everything will go well. We want that too.

Everything we do is about making sure students have the best experience in the UK. So we ensure high standards of teaching and care.

We do this by providing excellent training courses for managers, teachers and welfare staff at our member centres.

We insist all our centres meet tough accreditation inspections: as a partner in Accreditation UK we are constantly reviewing standards. This means our centres lead the way in protecting under-18s.

We also have protection for students if things go wrong.

Finally, we help the industry’s best agents and ELT specialists to work together.

Our Partner Agency Scheme helps bring together the world’s best agents with the UK’s best English language centres.

Partner agencies enjoy privileges including the use of a special logo and certificate, monthly newsletters containing lots of useful information, and a listing on the English UK website.

This listing is used by both students and English UK member centres when they are looking for reputable agents in particular markets.

To join, agencies have to be working with English UK centres and get good references from them, complete an online briefing about the UK, and attend one of our events.
