Born and raised in Miami Florida, the son of a local church

minister, had an early introduction

into the world of music. Within the church he began singing

and taught himself to play the piano, guitar, bass and drums.

His first public performance was at the age of three, and from

it, a lifetime of touching hearts through music sprouted.

By the age of 14, had become choir director and

minister of music, exhibiting a unique understanding of the

technical side of musical expression as well as vocal harmoni-

zation. At the age of 17, recorded his first album as

part of a gospel choir. He then traveled with choirs throughout

the United States singing with and opening for famous gospel

performers such as Andrae Crouch, The Hawkins Family, The

Winans, Shirley Cesar, Candi Staton, James Cleveland, Milton

Biggham and more.

After years of working in gospel music as an artist, producer,

and promoter, made the transition

to secular with Pop and Soul. He was immediately success-

ful, performing with, presenting or representing great artists

such as the late Maestro Barry White, En Vogue, Family Stand,

Michael Cooper, The O’Jays, The Temptations, Levert, and

others. He co-founded a record label (Tashari Records), pro-

ducing a recording with female trio “C’est La Vie”.

In 1984, was invited by Barry Smith

and Papa Jessie Ferguson to join the internationally re-

nowned group “The Platters”. Now a veteran member of The

Platters for over 20 years, has traveled the world and

performed with a multitude of internationally famous artists

and appeared in internationally and nationally televised

programs. He has entertained a wide genre of people, and

by virtue of his linguistic skills and performing, at will, in both

English and Spanish, he has become a true cross-cultural en-

tertainer.

pushed over the years and demanded that he looks inside

himself and share with the world his own God given talent

to touch people with this rich melodic sultry baritone which

It took place in Zocalo Main Square

in Mexico City. A mega concert that

took around 11 hours performing Span-

ish artists such as Joan Manuel Serrat,

Fangoria and mexican artists such as La

Sonora Margarita, Elefante and the only

Anglo-Saxon artist Mr. All they wanted to show their

solidarity with victims of feminicide in

Mexico and denouncing the impunity

of these crimes. This event had around

70,000 people in attendance.

Sold out was the result of the season that

introduced the group “The Platters” at

the Hyatt Regency in Cancun, reflect-

ing the popularity of the group for over

thirty years of appearing on the scene

of rock ‘n roll. This is evidence that the

group has crossed not only borders but

has been placed on the taste of both

young and not so much.

Recently the hotel chain under the

brand of Ritz Carlton with venues in

some of the world´s premier locations,

awarded the Lobby Bar at the Can-

cun Ritz Carlton the designation of the

number one lobby lounge among all

of its properties. The award was based

on audience satisfaction commentary,

revenues and net earnings during the

year 2000 and it is no coincidence that

this award was on the period when

headlined the show at the

Cancun Ritz Carlton Lobby Lounge. Our best songs. ‘The 100 Mexico’s favor-

ites” is the first national television pro-

gram whose goal was to discover the

favorite, most representative and best

song of the twentieth century of Mex-

ico. This project of cultural entertain-

ment for the whole family included a

historical-musical and Cesar Costa was

in charge to guide this exciting journey.

As guest of honor was the band Old

Days performing the compositions in

the studio and the invited artists were

the best and most recognized talents in

the musical industry in Mexico.
