to provide knowledge necessary to understand the nature of SME

sector and the theories and models of entrepreneurship

to allow students to be able to apply in practice the knowledge of

processes necessary to start and run a small business

Teaching methods:

lectures: 15 hours and tutorials: 30 hours altogether 15sessions 3 hours each

delivered in the form of workshops mix both elements,

proportions may change week to week, less structured

individual work and group work

case studies, discussions, role-plays, debate, presentations,homework tasks, interviews, simulations

familiarise with theory, practice it during tutorials, reflect on yourlearning

Teaching methods - assessment:

group presentation (30%), written business portfolio (70%)

possibility to gain extra points as a result of exercises and tasks

elements of the business portfolio and the final presentation willpartially result from respective tutorials

Perception of enterprise and entrepreneurship:

different for different people, influences by our experiences,multi-layered

in pairs or groups of three come up with a metaphoror analogythat best describes what starting and running a business is like

prepare a poster illustrating your metaphor and some argumentsor examples of why it is appropriate
