Production capacity increase would be achieved without any further draft ofnatural resources such as water & environment and there will be no increase ingeneration of effluent & no further increase in pollutant load. please note thefollowing points which are achieved by process improvement in the BNpMcurrency paper mill
o Due to stringent water conservation policy adopted by BNpM, Fresh waterconsumption is within the limit prescribed by MoEF /KSPCB of 75 m3 perMT of paper production.
. Trade/industrial effluent generation is within the consent (KSPCB _
consent for operation) quantity of 3531 .4 m3/day.
. BNPM is operating state of the art UF-RO units to recycle the treatedeffluent, in addition to softener systems. present recycling rate of treatedeffluent (as RO & soft water) to process is 52%, which is best in similarindustries.
3. BNPM has adopted "Elemental Chlorlne free technology,,, which totally free fromuse of chlorine in pulp preparation.
4. BNPM installed Zero Discharge Effluent Treatment plant & the same is inoperation since commissioning of industry to treat the industrial effluent. The totarcost incurred for installation of ETP is approx.26 crores. Further, to have bettercontrol over the process, a dedicated laboratory was sefup in ETp to carry_outthe day to day analysis of effluent & treated water.
5. Produ, cjion c.?pacity will be increased without addition of any new pulp making &p.p"flffimb$ffimP"s, but with enhancing efficiency of processes which

As because there is
* No adverse impact on environment is involved
.i. No additional resettlement and rehabilitation is required.
* No additional land acquisition is required
For the incremental production all the statutory environmental requirementswill be complied. Therefore it is kindly submitted that approval for {environmental clearance for increasing production to 19,000 TPA of M/s.Bank Note Paper Mill India Pvt. Ltd., may please be granted.
