Work-Based Environmental Conservation The ABC Awards’ qualifications in Work-Based Environmental Conservation Skills provide practical experience and knowledge of the land based sector to support engagement, participation, achievement and progression. They aim to help learners decide whether to undertake further training or employment within this occupational area.

Land Based Operations

The ABC qualification in Land Based Operations provides practical experience and knowledge of the land based sector to support engagement, participation, achieve-ment and progression for learners at Level 1. Our Land Based Operations qualifcation cover a wide range of sections including, basic tractor operation and assisting with the care of animals, right through to main-taining the safety of self and others in the workplace and contributing to the prepara-tion of forest and woodland sites. The flexibility of the qualification allows learners to choose units from horticulture, environmental conservation or animal care to build up their qualifications.
