Wentworth Point Wentworth Point is a strip located across from Rhodes It will be transformed from an industrial site to a new

development with new, modern, innovative and eco-friendly buildings and facilities and easily accessible.

Wentworth Point includes an Information Centre, Community Centre where various activities are held and the Discovery Centre is another great feature of Wentworth Point.

We aim to redevelop Wentworth Point using natural sources and equipped with eco friendly and sustainable features including solar panels, composting, water tanks, etc.

Wentworth Point includes apartments, houses, restaurants, shopping centres, parks, primary school, vet, medical centre, sport centre, amphitheatre, library, movies and transport, catering for the people’s needs.

What is the Discovery Centre?The Wentworth Point Discovery Centre is a new, modern, innovative design building that will cater people in Wentworth Point. The Discovery Centre informs people of the history, development, future and environment of Wentworth Point and the wider community, the world. The Discovery Centre includes interactive learning, shows and talks and also includes a glass house full of beautiful plants. The Discovery Centre is great for all ages as there are tables and benches available, a garden space, things in the Centre for all ages and levels of difficulty and the discovery centre is free. The Discovery Centre also appeals to a diverse range of people and is easily accessible to all including disabled people as there is a ramp and everything is easily accessible. The Wentworth Point Discovery Centre features a range of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. The Discovery Centre is a great part of Wentworth point.

Wentworth Point used to be a industrial site so before we start we need to make sure there are no chemicals and what we are building on is safe. This will mean the development will be more sustainable. Sustainability means to last a long time without breaking down or needing to be replaced so it is important we do it right so we don’t need to keep replacing things which will mean more money

In Wentworth Point, including the Discovery Centre, Sustainable practices and materials we are using include water tanks which would save the rain water and recycled onto the garden.

We would also use energy efficient appliances in all the buildings and apartments and also use appliances that use low water consumption.

Another sustainable practice we would use include compost bins which would be in the Centres and other buildings.

The water we use for gardens, toilets, etc. come from the water tanks and there are a lot of water tanks in Wentworth Point including the Discovery Centre, Information centre and the Community Centre.

The rain water is collected into a steel tank which is then filtered for drinking water, showers, washing, etc. and most apartments, houses and buildings have their own water tank which they us for the garden.

shower heads. Showers can be one of the biggest users of water in your home. If you're using an older
