At a glanceThe design features

To ensure the CD conformity of ourbrands’ appearance, uniformguidelines have been defined fordesign of trade fair stands.

The brand logo (1) is placed at the topright in the white logo clearspace with adefined height or in the logo box.

Except for the logo clearspace, allpanes are variable in height. Imagesand color panes (2) are arranged sothat a continuous, distinctly horizontalstripe results. The color pane carries the sender’srespective division color and is a fixedelement of every trade fair stand.

The DB corner element (3) is alsoused as a visual constant in trade fairstands. Copy elements (4) can beplaced on images, color panes or whitepanes.A gray footer (5) can be used toprotect the stain-prone area near thefloor.

Corporate design guidelines

Layout of roll-up banner displays

A key consideration in designing and selecting the logo sizeon a roll-up is knowing where it will be used. For close-upviewing (1) the same design requirements apply as for PrintMedia. For roll-ups for long-distance viewing (2), the logois selected according to the rules of the liquid grid system(see below: Trade Fair Stand Design).

Roll-up—format: 85 x 200 cmLogo size, standard: DB brand width = 10 cmLogo size, long-distance: DB brand width = 20 cm

The height of the logo clearspace and the size of theother design elements are derived from the width ofthe DB brand (DBx).

Trade fair stand layout

The layout of media to be viewedfrom a distance is regulated by theLiquid Grid System. For a strikingbrand display, the logo is biggerrelative to the format on trade fairstands than in ads.

For trade fair stands the logo size iscalculated according to the formatheight.

Width of the DB brand (DBx) = 1/10of the format height

The width of the DB brand (DBx)serves as a reference size for thelayout. It defines all format-dependent,fixed sizes and spacings in relation toone another.

The logo clearspace with a fixed heightof 1½ DBx and the respective brandlogo to identify the sender are placedon all applications. The text live areaon all trade fair stands results from aspacing of ½ DBx from the formatedges.

Special rule for extreme verticalformats: Special rules apply to meetthe special requirements of extremevertical formats.

DB brand in the logo clearspace, logo box

The DB brand is placed in the logoclearspace on the right with 1 DBx ofspacing (unlike the other division brands.)

Please note: Special rules are definedfor placement within extremehorizontal and vertical formats.

The logo box is used as an alternativeto the logo clearspace.

The logo box is placed variably at theleft or right format edge in the upperhalf of the format.

You can find the required templates forthe logo box under Downloads.

Guidelines for using the logo box:

Minimum spacing to the upperformat edge equals ¾ DBx.The size of the DB brand inthe logo box is defined by the liquidgrid system. The logo box has a drop shadow(omit if technically unfeasible).

The layout system

Images and color panes are arrangedso that a continuous, distinctlyhorizontal stripe results. The panes arevariable in height and can be placedflexibly alongside or underneath onanother. Several walls next to eachother have a design uniting all three.Areas near the floor have no relevantinformation.

Please note: To protect thestain-prone near-floor area, a coloredfooter in one of the DB gray tonescan be used here. It then runs acrossthe entire format width, is notsubject to design requirements andhas no DB corner element.

The color pane in the sender’s divisioncolor is a fixed element of eachapplication. The Group reserves theoption of communicating without acolor pane.

Please note: If the sender remainsrecognizable, the color pane can beplaced in its smallest permissible unitas a ½ DBx-high stripe.

The DB Corner Element:

Forms an optical clasp and standsat the color- or image paneIs omitted when the color paneis used on the entire surfaceRelated tables must form aharmonic overall picture and haveonly one DB corner element

For special sales actions, teasers can be used in any form.

Partner logos are on the left in the logo clearspace and fillthe space maximally to the format middleLogos are placed in the text live areaIf both partner- and supplementary logos are placed inthe logo clearspace, the supplementary logo is moved tothe right, up to the minimum spacing of two DB brandsfrom the sender logo.

Special case: n back panels partner logos can also bearranged in the text live area right aligned with the senderlogo. The DB brand then stands aligned with the partnerlogos with a spacing of ½ DBx.

Product names are not placed in the logo clearspace. They stand on a white footer at the DB corner element, as a teaseror on a white pane, integrated in the image stripe.
