Fall semester 2014 is winding down and the EOPS staff would like to remind all of our students to schedule a third contact with an EOPS Counselor if you have not already done so. Book vouchers for next spring semester will only be issued to those students that have made at least three EOPS contacts this semester! Our staff is here to help you succeed and meet your educational goals. Please contact us with any questions or issues that you may have. You may contact Amanda Frost at (707) 256-7310 to inquire about how many contacts you have made and/or to schedule an appointment.

OVERVIEW OF THE NAPA VALLEY COLLE GE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Napa Valley College provides a variety of scholarships to current students. These scholarships are made possible by the generous donations from the Napa Valley College Foundation and various individuals, organizations, and businesses. We are grateful for the support they offer NVC students.
STARS Online offers a user-friendly application process for students. Please review the application materials and instructions before you begin. The instructions and application may be accessed from the Napa Valley College Financial Aid website.
WHEN ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?
The applica on will open December 1, 2014 and will close February 3, 2015. Recipients are selected by the
scholarship commi ee, which is comprised of faculty and staff. Selec ons are made on a compe ve basis
with considera on given to:
Academic Achievement
Financial Need
Volunteer Work at School & Community
Other Selected Criteria
CRITERIA:
SHOULD have completed 12 units at NVC by the end of the Fall 2014 semester;
SHOULD have a cumula ve grade point average of 3.0 at NVC by the end of the Fall 2014 semester with
the excep on of the Osher Scholarship which requires a 2.0 cumula ve GPA;
MUST maintain enrollment in 6 units at NVC during the Spring 2015 semester;
MUST be a U.S. Ci zen, eligible Non Ci zen or qualify under the AB 540 criteria (Please contact
Admissions & Records to verify your status if you are unsure; interna onal students are not eligible).
In addi on:
MOST scholarships require full me (12 units or more) enrollment at an accredited ins tu on during the
2015‐2016 academic year
Students with a Bachelors degree are generally not eligible
All students are encouraged to complete the financial aid applica on (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov
(AB 540 students who are not U.S. Ci zens or eligible Non Ci zens should complete the Dream Act
applica on h p://www.csac.ca.gov/dreamact.acp) to be considered for the widest range of scholarships.
