Elf on the Shelf Intro

Elf on the Shelf is a fun little *hristmas tradition. E"ery year an Elf shows upthe day after Thanksgi"ing. The Elf$s job is to report back to Santa e"ery night on

whether or not the children of the house were well beha"ed that day. +hen the Elfreturns early each morning he hides in a new spot. Some el"es are a bit more proneto mischief than others and like to make messes or get into some sticky situations.The Elf returns home to the ,orth ole when Santa comes and drops off thepresents -ec ( to return again ne/t year.

0or our family1 the Elf on the Shelf is just a small way to bring the magic ofSanta to life and ha"e a bit of family bonding and fun around the holidays. The kids

lo"e to search out the Elf e"ery morning and see what hijinks he got into the nightbefore.

This year I$"e decided to add to the fun by preparing the ideas in ad"ance andmaking these little cards to sit ne/t to the Elf each morning. +ith one child learningto read1 the little cards should pro"ide daily practice. I$"e tried to keep the ideas simpleenough that most any family could do it with "ery little preparation. There are 2ideas and only 23 days between Thanksgi"ing and *hristmas. I$"e also left one set of

cards blank to add your own mischief.
