Millie’s intricate attention to detail, design flair and passion for illustration and nature have helped us to make her debut homeware range something very special. We are enormously proud of the end result, and this year the range has been deservedly shortlisted for Gift of the Year by the Giftware Association – the voice of the UK gift and home industry.

Working on our second collection with Mary Berry has been an absolute pleasure. Meetings with Mary are relaxed and informal, held around her kitchen table with coffee and homemade shortbread (delicious!). Mary is involved in all aspects of the products – the goose design was inspired by her love of geese and her kitchen wallpaper! Mary’s attention to detail and wealth of experience makes the range both beautiful and functional.

Millie Marotta works as an illustrator from her studio by the sea in a little corner of West Wales. She is known for her striking nature-based illustrations and her

tremendously popular range of colouring books.

As a child growing up on a smallholding in the Welsh countryside, Millie developed a fascination with all things ‘flora and fauna’ and this remains at the core of her work today. Millie’s designs for this collection, inspired by the British country garden, offer a distinctive and charming range of homeware for you to

enjoy and collect.

Mary trained at Bath School of Home Economics and Le Cordon Bleu Paris. In the 1960s she became the cookery editor of Housewife magazine, and later of Ideal Home magazine.

Mary’s career has encompassed a wide variety of experiences including radio, television and writing work. Her first television series aired in the early 1970s. Whilst raising her young family in the 1980s she continued writing books and filming television series for the BBC from her home in Buckinghamshire. She has now written more than 80 cookery books, with total sales of more than 6 million copies.
