Middle Age CrisisDanamin & ErinGenre We have chosen to create our opening scene revolving around a comedic genre. We hope to achieve this by including exaggerated and comedic dance moves when the characters are lip syncing to the music. We have also chosen a very dramatic song which will hopefully add to the comedy aspect of our opening sequence. When editing, we will also be adding pauses with the credits stopping on comedic facial expressions of the characters. This will hopefully, along with the voice over we will be including, set the audience up for a romantic yet laughable film.OutlineOur film will begin giving the audience a preview into the lives of Amelia and Danamin, two middle aged women from the middle class society having a night in listening to music after a long day at work. The rest of the film highlights the journey of the main character as her best friend pushes her to become more outgoing and find the one she can share a happy life with. Along the way the two have an argument disagreeing with the way that Amelia's current boyfriend is treating her. The two eventually become friends again and the ending features Amelia marrying a billionaire who she has fallen in love with. The story as a whole reflects the journey Amelia goes on to put herself out there while her best friend Danamin is the one to encourage her and be there for her when she fails.Amelia RussellThe character Amelia Russell will be portrayed as an introvert with a very shy personality, only having a limited experience of life due to her inability to socialise and venture out of her comfort zone. Amelia works in an office job from 9 to 5 and is very used to a routine with nothing out of place. She can control everything in both her home and work life and so often steers away from relationships as they can often be unpredictable, something Amelia is afraid of.Danamin KangbenDanamin, on the other hand, is the polar opposite to her friend Amelia. She is a very outgoing person with a husband and 2 kids of her own and is very supportive of Amelia, often mothering and encouraging her to do and try new things. Danamin is also Amelia's boss and friend since primary school and so enjoys pushing her friend to be more outgoing. Her home life is very happy which gives her the motivation to push her friend as she wants Amelia to have the life she does. Possible LocationsWe will be filming our opening scene both outside and inside of Amelia's house, mainly focusing in the living room however starting outside of the house to give the audience an establishing shot at where the scene is taking place.
