Domingo de Adviento 3rd Sunday of Advent December 15th, 2019 God has called me to serve as a FOCUS Regional Director in my fifth year of missionary life in the Southern part of Texas. This role allows me to form and invest in teams and leaders at the fol- lowing universities: University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, Angelo State, Stephen F. Austin, and Rice! My role involves traveling to each of these campuses and being a "missionary to our missionaries" as I equip them to lead hundreds of students to an encounter with Jesus Christ. What an honor it is to serve in this leadership role! During my high school years in New Mexico, I was fortunate enough to attend a small school (Texico H.S.) where faith mat- tered. Although not a private school, I was able to meet individu- als who poured into me, including teachers and upperclassmen who taught and modeled how to live a Christ-centered life. When I was preparing to graduate from high school, I felt a huge tug to model the same example for those around me; however, I needed a deeper formation in my faith and relationship with Christ. While I attended college at Oklahoma State University, I was able to experience the challenge of living out my faith on a college campus that was filled with relativism and immorality--similar to many typical university cultures. Through God's grace, my sopho- more year I got plugged into the Newman Center at St. Johns' University Parish where I found community and truth. When FO- CUS arrived on our campus in my junior year, I was immediately greeted by missionaries who loved Christ and wanted to make Him known! FOCUS radically changed my life and equipped me for lifelong mission for the Church by giving me skills and confidence to lead other women to Christ. I was so impacted by the FOCUS missionaries on the campus of OSU that I wanted to serve students in the same way. In joining FOCUS staff, my biggest desire is to share the love of Christ and his joy with students who are lost, stagnant in their faith, or maybe have not experienced the full love and truth that is Jesus Christ! This is exactly the mission that FOCUS seeks to accomplish: to build relationships with students and introduce them to Jesus Christ and His Church, empowering them to do the same for others. Serving with FOCUS as a full-time missionary and Regional Director, I have had the joyful opportunity to reach out to students by lead- ing Bible studies, mentoring women one-on-one, spreading the Gospel on a college campus, forming my seven Team Directors as they lead others, and shaping our generation's leaders for lifelong mission for Jesus Christ. God has called me to serve as a FOCUS Regional Director in my

fifth year of missionary life in the Southern part of Texas. This

role allows me to form and invest in teams and leaders at the fol-

lowing universities: University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M,

Texas State, Texas Tech, Angelo State, Stephen F. Austin, and

Rice! My role involves traveling to each of these campuses and

being a "missionary to our missionaries" as I equip them to lead

hundreds of students to an encounter with Jesus Christ. What an

honor it is to serve in this leadership role!

During my high school years in New Mexico, I was fortunate

enough to attend a small school (Texico H.S.) where faith mat-

tered. Although not a private school, I was able to meet individu-

als who poured into me, including teachers and upperclassmen

who taught and modeled how to live a Christ-centered life. When

I was preparing to graduate from high school, I felt a huge tug to

model the same example for those around me; however, I needed

a deeper formation in my faith and relationship with Christ.

While I attended college at Oklahoma State University, I was able

to experience the challenge of living out my faith on a college

campus that was filled with relativism and immorality--similar to

many typical university cultures. Through God's grace, my sopho-

more year I got plugged into the Newman Center at St. Johns'

University Parish where I found community and truth. When FO-

CUS arrived on our campus in my junior year, I was immediately greeted by missionaries who loved Christ and

wanted to make Him known! FOCUS radically changed my life and equipped me for lifelong mission for the

Church by giving me skills and confidence to lead other women to Christ. I was so impacted by the FOCUS

missionaries on the campus of OSU that I wanted to serve students in the same way. In joining FOCUS staff,

my biggest desire is to share the love of Christ and his joy with students who are lost, stagnant in their faith, or

maybe have not experienced the full love and truth that is Jesus Christ!

This is exactly the mission that FOCUS seeks to accomplish: to build relationships with students and introduce

them to Jesus Christ and His Church, empowering them to do the same for others. Serving with FOCUS as a

full-time missionary and Regional Director, I have had the joyful opportunity to reach out to students by lead-

ing Bible studies, mentoring women one-on-one, spreading the Gospel on a college campus, forming my seven

Team Directors as they lead others, and shaping our generation's leaders for lifelong mission for Jesus Christ.
